Al-Qassam Brigades thwarts Israeli attempt to free captive
The Al-Qassam Brigades details that its Resistance fighters detected Israeli invading forces attempting to advance and engaged them in combat.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Resistance movement, confirmed the thwarting of an attempt by the IOF to reach an Israeli captive in the Gaza Strip early today.
The Al-Qassam Brigades detailed that its Resistance fighters detected Israeli invading forces attempting to advance and engaged them in combat.
Later, the Brigades reported that this confrontation resulted in the death of the captured Israeli soldier, bearing the identification number 207775032.
Additionally, the confrontation led to the injury of other Israeli soldiers who had invaded Gaza as part of the ground operation, prompting the occupation to deploy its warplanes to bombard the area with a series of airstrikes to cover the withdrawal of the invading Israeli forces.
The Israeli army admitted the deaths of two additional soldiers some hours ago, as a result of intense confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance in the northern part of the Strip, providing details about their military ranks: the first, a sergeant in "Battalion 699", and the second, a soldier in "Battalion 271".
With Al-Qassam's announcement of the killing of an Israeli soldier, the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the beginning of the invasion into Gaza has reached 92, bringing the overall number of soldiers killed in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to 419.
This operation by Al-Qassam comes at a time when the Palestinian Resistance maintains a high state of readiness to confront the Israeli ground invasion on all fronts, pressing on with close-range engagements and planning ambushes, causing high casualties and material losses within the Israeli army.
Israeli military forcing hospitals to cover losses: Israeli media
Israeli media reported, on Thursday, that the Israeli military spokesperson has imposed new restrictions related to reporting on casualties in the war, including coercing hospitals against announcing the arrival of wounded or dead personnel unless permitted by the army.
The aim is to control the timing of information release at times convenient for the military, "Israel's" Walla! said in its publication.
Hospital representatives commented, "The military spokesperson [Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari] has taken on the role of national morale delegate, with our primary responsibility being towards those receiving treatment."
In a message sent on Tuesday, the head of the media department in Hagari's unit informed hospitals of a new procedure allowing them to issue only one daily statement at 13:00, following the military spokesperson's daily briefing.
According to the new plan, the statement will include data on the last day but will not provide details about injured individuals not previously reported by the spokesperson.
