The Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip continues to target the Israeli occupation forces on various combat fronts, inflicting confirmed losses on the occupation as part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that it shelled the gatherings of IOF in the Jabalia Services Club, north of the Gaza Strip, and destroyed two Israeli vehicles by detonating highly explosive barrel bombs - planted in advance - in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
In turn, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades confirmed that an Israeli Namer vehicle was blown up with an anti-tank shell in a direct hit in Abu Al-Aish Street, in the middle of Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Martyr Omar Al-Qassem Forces, the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, targeted with mortar shells a gathering of occupation soldiers and their vehicles that had penetrated the vicinity of University Street, in the Al-Janina neighborhood, east of Rafah city.
Hamas: Israeli approach killed captives, ceasefire demands unchanged
Hamas emphasized that the Israeli occupation military's acknowledgment of its responsibility for the deaths of six captives confirms the accuracy of the Palestinian Resistance's account of events and exposes the Israeli occupation's narrative as false, holding it accountable for the consequences that unfolded.
The movement pointed out that the killing of more Israeli captives by the Israeli occupation forces further proves the failure of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s theory of freeing captives through force, emphasizing that military pressure does not free captives, it only kills them.
Hamas held Netanyahu directly responsible for the deaths of dozens of captives due to his failure to reach a deal and reiterated that "the only solution was to end the aggression, withdraw the Israeli occupation forces, and proceed with a prisoner exchange deal."
An Israeli occupation military investigation has hinted at the potential responsibility of its forces for the killing of six Palestinian prisoners in an airstrike on a site in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation forces earlier mentioned that, on August 20, it found the bodies of six captives and the bodies of six Palestinian Resistance fighters in a tunnel in the vicinity of the area targeted in February.
According to the results of the investigation, which were published Wednesday, the bodies of the six captives showed signs of gunshot wounds, with the lifeless bodies of the Resistance fighters who had been supervising, lying nearby.
The investigation also clarified that the Israeli air force conducted a "precise" airstrike on February 14 against infrastructure in Khan Younis, targeting alleged Hamas leaders. The findings concluded that there is a strong possibility that the captives' deaths were caused by this airstrike, which occurred near their location.
Hamas had previously stressed that US President-elect Donald Trump should direct his message—threatening "serious consequences" in the Middle East if captives in Gaza are not released by January 20—to Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
