Amir-Abdollahian, Algerian counterpart discuss regional development
The Iranian and Algerian Ministers of Foreign Affairs discuss their countries' bilateral relations, regional, and international issues, as well as developments pertaining to the Palestinian cause.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf discussed, via telephone, the development of bilateral and economic relations, as well as regional and international developments, including those in Palestine in particular.
Amir-Abdollahian delivered to his Algerian counterpart Greetings From the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, to the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and extended an invitation to Attaf to visit Tehran, which was received dearly by the latter.
In turn, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Algeria conveyed his country's senior officials' greetings to senior officials in Iran, stressing the readiness to strengthen bilateral relations with Iran in various areas.
During the telephone call, the Ministers emphasized the importance of the continued close cooperation between the two countries in regional and international forums.
Last February, in the Qatari capital, Doha, the Algerian President met his Iranian counterpart on the sidelines of the Sixth Gas Exporters' Summit in Qatar. Tebboune had also dispatched Prime Minister Ayman Abdel-Rahman to Tehran in August 2021 to attend the inauguration of Iran's President.
