ANC condemns US-UK aggression on Yemen, says doomed to fail
The ANC says the repeated US-UK aggression on Yemen aims to retaliate against the brave Yemeni people for their heroic support of the Palestinian people.
The General Secretariat of the Arab National Congress (ANC) condemned Sunday the American-British aggression on Yemen, deeming it a "brutal aggression that is doomed to fail like other attacks."
On Saturday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that 22 joint American-British aggression airstrikes targeted the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and the provinces of Hajjah and Taiz. US and British forces carried out a fresh wave of strikes against 18 targets across eight locations in Yemen, a joint statement said.
The Secretary-General of the Congress, Hamdeen Sabahi, stated that the repeated aggression on Yemen is a "brutal aggression committed by the United States and Britain to retaliate against the brave Yemeni people for their heroic positions in support of our people in the Gaza Strip and all of Palestine" and for confronting the partners of the Zionist entity in the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Sabahi believed that this aggression aimed to confuse matters and "boost the morale of the criminal entity's leaders after the collapses they have suffered due to the Resistance's steadfastness in the Gaza Strip, and its adherence to its land and its refusal to yield or surrender."
He suggested that this aggression comes to divert attention from the decisions adopted by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), stating that "official and popular positions have exposed the usurping entity and demonstrated the scale of the monstrous crimes and genocide it committed along with its allies against women, children, and the elderly people before the entire world."
The Secretary-General of the Arab National Conference also condemned "the stance of Arab regimes taking part in the aggression on Gaza by opening their territories for the passage of trucks to compensate the Zionist enemy for its losses as a result of the honorable and impressive actions taken by Yemen in the Red Sea and Arabian seas."
"We are confident that history is recording the great heroics written by the Resistance on all its fronts, especially in the land of Palestine," Sabahi concluded his statement by saying, saluting the Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and the steadfast and courageous Palestinian people.
October 7 most crucial chapter in Arab-Zionist struggle: Sabahi
On February 11, Sabahi described the current aggression on Gaza as a new triple aggression "carried out by the United States, Britain, and Israel," pointing out that "the Resistance's steadfastness and the legendary patience of the people of Gaza are what achieves victory."
He also deemed October 7 as the "most important chapter of the Arab-Zionist conflict," which marked the "earthquake day for the Zionist entity in its ideology and existence."
He added that the Palestinian Resistance's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7 "terminated the [security] contract between the ruling military group in the Zionist entity and its settlers," which would later lead to "reverse migration in the Zionist entity."
Sabahi touched on the Yemeni and Iraqi roles in the ongoing battle, emphasizing that "Yemen's role in this battle has shifted the conflict to an international and global level."
Elsewhere, he added that the operations of the Iraqi Resistance and the American reaction to them confirm that neutralizing major powers is achievable, expressing confidence in the unity of the battlefield.
