Bagheri Kani: Tehran presented ideas to facilitate nuclear agreement
After announcing that another round of talks is on the horizon, Iran's top negotiator reveals that new ideas are on the table for the nuclear deal.
Iran's chief negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani, announced today that Tehran has presented substantive ideas to facilitate an agreement from the Vienna negotiations.
"We shared our proposed ideas, both on substance and form, to pave the way for a swift conclusion of Vienna negotiations which were aimed at fixing the damaging complicated situation caused by the US unilateral and unlawful withdrawal," Bagheri Kani said in a tweet on Twitter.

He continued, "We work closely with our JCPOA partners, in particular the Coordinator, to give another chance to the US to demonstrate good faith and act responsibly. As Iran, we stand ready to conclude the negotiations in short order, should the other side be ready to do the same."
Borrell announced, a few days ago, in an article published in the Financial Times, that he had submitted a draft text on the Iranian nuclear program commenting that the text included "hard-won compromises by all sides", and that he does not see any "other comprehensive or effective alternative within reach." He appealed to the conflicting parties to accept it: "If the deal is rejected, we risk a dangerous nuclear crisis."
Renewed Vienna negotiations may be underway - Iranian official
A member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee, Yaqoub Rezazadeh, revealed that a new round of nuclear negotiations is likely to be held in Vienna soon.
"In the past few days, members of the National Security Committee held meetings with Ali Bagheri Kani, head of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team - in light of the European parties' efforts to reach a conclusion for the JCPOA negotiations, a new round of negotiations will be held in the coming days," Rezazadeh said.
On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed by phone with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, bilateral relations and the latest developments regarding nuclear talks, according to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
On Friday, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reaffirmed Tehran’s willingness to strike a good and strong agreement in talks for lifting the sanctions and resurrecting the JCPOA negotiations.
