BBC's London HQs daubed in red paint over 'bias', 'vice reporting'
Palestine Action says the group left a message overnight for the BBC for spreading the Israeli occupation's lies and manufacturing consent for "Israel's" war crimes.
The BBC's Broadcasting House in London was daubed with red paint overnight. BBC presenter Victoria Derbyshire posted pictures and a video of the building's exterior on Saturday morning.
In addition to the video displaying the BBC building covered in red paint, she wrote: "Just arrived at work. This is the front entrance to BBC this morning."

Following the incident, the area was reportedly cordoned off, and metal barriers were positioned behind yellow warning signs indicating that cleaning was underway. Large brooms were visible near the glass doors, with the paint splattered on the ground.
Police officers were stationed outside, and there was an elevated police presence in the city due to the scheduled pro-Palestinian demonstration with thousands of participants on Saturday.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “We are aware of criminal damage to a building in Portland Place, W1A."
“At this stage there is no suggestion this is linked to any protest group,” the spokesperson added.
However, Palestine Action later took to X, claiming responsibility. The group said the action was done against BBC due to the network's "bias" and "manufacturing consent for the genocide of the Palestinian people."

In another post, Palestine Action said it left a message overnight for the BBC, the reason it cited being "spreading the occupation's lies and manufacturing consent for Israel's war crimes," which means that "you have Palestinian blood on your hands," ending the post with the hashtag #ShutBBCDown.

BBC radio broadcaster Edward Adoo also posted pictures of the incident on Twitter during the early hours of Saturday and added the following statement: “Just got to the BBC the main entrance is blocked, someone sprayed red paint at the entrance."
"Regardless of your view on what’s going on this is not the way. Props to the security team on duty tonight.”
On the other side of the globe, "Israel" killed at least 11 journalists within the initial week of brutal aggression on Gaza, as per the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
The targeting of journalists and civilians has become a standard within the doctrine of the Israeli occupation forces.
Reuters Lebanese videographer, Issam Abdallah, was also killed by an Israeli strike in the town of Alma al-Shaab, southern Lebanon, on Friday.
Two other Reuters journalists, Thaer al-Sudani and Maher Nazeh, were injured.
Reuters issued a statement expressing their "sadness" regarding the murder of their reporter but completely failed to mention the Israeli assassins or to explain the circumstances of the killing, which was slammed as biased toward the Israeli occupation by social media users.
A video has been posted on social media showing Al Jazeera's reporter Carmen Jokhadar lying on the ground after being injured.
The number of casualties among journalists who were present on the spot is expected to rise.
Several other journalists suffered critical injuries as a result of the Israeli strike, which directly targeted them. Issam and others were wearing Press gear allowing easy identification, as they covered the unfolding events on the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
This comes as Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza said there can be no valid death count in Gaza now as the bodies are currently administered en masse into hospitals, all of whom are civilians.
The latest report estimates that the number of Palestinians killed in the aggression exceeded 2,000, including hundreds of children and women, noting that the occupation is intensifying air and sea strikes on Gaza, which predicts that the numbers are expected to rise massively.
In details provided later, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 2,215 citizens, including 724 children, were martyred and 8,714 people were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
