Burglary leaves IRGC member dead in Tehran residential building
Iran's state news agency IRIB reports that Basij base commander Qassam Fathollahi was shot three times during a theft operation.
According to a senior police officer, a member of Iran's Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) was killed in Tehran during a theft operation targeting his residential building.
Head of the criminal investigation division Morteza Nesari stated to Iran's state news agency IRIB that IRGC member Qassam Fathollahi was shot "three times when he and a fellow resident tried to capture the burglar in the building's car park."

"Mr. Fathollahi and his neighbor were taken to the hospital... but Mr. Fathollahi died from the severity of his injuries and bleeding," while the "shooter fled the scene," Nesari said.
According to IRIB, Fathollahi was a Basij base commander in Iran's mobilization corps.
