Cairo talks on Gaza ceasefire deal to resume Sunday: Egypt
Egyptian sources tell Reuters that the recent massacre in the al-Rashid street, dubbed the "Flour massacre", in which 115 Palestinians were killed by "Israel" trying to get food and aid, was the motivator in hastening the negotiations.
Negotiations on the Gaza ceasefire will resume on Sunday in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, Reuters said, citing two Egyptian security sources on Saturday.
This update insinuates continued efforts to secure a ceasefire after US President Joe Biden said he hopes will come into effect on March 10.
The Egyptian sources state that the recent massacre in al-Rashid street, dubbed the "Flour massacre", in which 115 Palestinians were killed by "Israel" trying to get food and aid, was the motivator in hastening the negotiations.
Dozens fell casualty in the massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces in the attack that targeted Palestinian civilians who were waiting in line to receive aid packages in the northern Gaza Strip.

Per the Egyptian sources, the duration of the truce has been agreed on by the parties, as well as captive and prisoner releases, as they stressed that closing the deal requires an agreement that states the withdrawal of the IOF from Gaza and the return of its residents.
A Palestinian official familiar with the situation did not confirm the news but they did say, “When it comes to ending the war and pulling out forces out of Gaza, gaps remain unbridged”.
'Tit-for-tat' until a ceasefire
Hamas confirmed 10 days ago that a delegation from the movement, led by the head of the political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, concluded its visit to Egypt with the head of the Egyptian intelligence service, Abbas Kamel, and his assistants, where they discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, the cessation of the Israeli aggression, the return of refugees, and relief and shelter.
According to Hamas, the delegation also addressed the prisoner exchange file and "Israel's" plan regarding limiting access to al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
Earlier, a source in the Resistance leadership told Al Mayadeen that all the rumors circulating about the progress of negotiations between the Palestinian Resistance and "Israel" were false.

The source revealed that "Israel", in ongoing warmongering, continues to reject Hamas' proposal, calling it "unfeasible", and insists on its own conditions that do not include the withdrawal of its forces from Gaza or a permanent ceasefire.
According to the source, Hamas, on the other hand, provided appropriate solutions concerning the ceasefire, the return of displaced Gazans, the captives release deal, and the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza.
This follows a release by the spokesperson for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, which confirmed that seven Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip were killed by their own military's attacks, adding that the Resistance will demand the release of the same number of Palestinian detainees in exchange for the same number of Israeli captives demanded, be they dead or alive.
