Community interaction vital for production: Sayyed Khamenei on Nowruz

The Iranian leader sheds light on the importance of maintaining hope and acknowledging Iran's impressive track record of success despite adversarial tactics employed by external forces.

Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei commended the efforts of the Resistance factions in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq for their operations against "Israel". He also praised the Axis of Resistance for showcasing its strength and effectively challenging Washington's schemes in West Asia.

During an address in Tehran to mark the Iranian New Year, Sayyed Khamenei emphasized that the resilience and determination of the Axis of Resistance has significantly hindered the United States' aspirations for dominance in the region.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he dismissed Western accusations suggesting that Iran controls every act of Resistance in the region. He stressed that while Iran supports these movements, they function independently and make their own decisions.

The Iranian leader emphasized the dire situation of Palestinians, stating that no morally upright individual can ignore the genocidal oppression inflicted by "Israel" on Gaza.

"The Gaza cause has exposed the extent of injustice, with more than 30,000 martyrs in a short period, as the civilized society stands idly by and facilitates this injustice," he stressed.

"And the most tragic of all [in a year] was the tragic event that occurred in Gaza – an event that holds great importance in our international affairs. We did not experience anything more tragic than that this year," he added.

The slogan of the year: 'Surge in production dependant on people’s participation'

In his address, the leader of Iran, Sayyed Khamenei, reflected on the country's domestic and foreign affairs, acknowledging both positive strides and challenges. He noted significant progress in science, technology, and infrastructure within Iran, alongside economic difficulties faced by the people.

He prayed for Divine compensation for the hardships faced and for continued blessings upon the Iranian nation and Muslim nations worldwide.

Addressing economic issues, the Iranian leader mentioned the slogan he introduced in 1402 AHS [March 2023 - March 2024], focusing on inflation control and production growth. He recognized advancements in both areas but stressed the need for sustained efforts, acknowledging that desired results may take time and commitment beyond a single year. Further details on these matters were promised in his forthcoming speech to the Iranian people.

"......the slogan that I have chosen for this year is, 'Surge in production through people’s participation.' This is the slogan for this year. I hope, God willing, this slogan will be actualized in the best possible way. It is necessary for those who are making the plans for the country to create plans, for experts to collaborate by providing their thoughts, and for those who are active in the economic sector to, God willing, actively participate in this endeavor," he said.

The economic solution lies in production

As the new year begins, there is a pressing need for concerted efforts to address various tasks at hand, emphasized by leaders across governmental sectors, Sayyed Khamenei said.

The Iranian leader went on to say that the nation's officials, including those in government, parliament, and the judiciary, alongside the public, are urged to fulfill their responsibilities effectively. The prevailing challenge remains centered on the economy, with a recognized weakness in this domain, he added.

Based on expert analysis, Sayyed Khamenei said that the solution to the country's economic woes is deemed to lie primarily in bolstering production—both domestically and nationally.

This strategic focus on production has been underscored in recent years, with the belief that sustained growth and advancements in this area can alleviate major economic concerns such as inflation, unemployment, and currency devaluation, the Iranian leader added.
