While some were transported to partially functioning hospitals, many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble with rescue crews unable to reach them.

Others remain either injured or lie there as lifeless bodies dispersed on the streets as rescue crews are also prohibited from attending to them or transporting them.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that two Palestinian women were killed today, Wednesday, in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp. They were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Deir al-Balah after succumbing to their injuries.

In a related context, our correspondent said that medical teams retrieved the bodies of seven martyrs from the Tell al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah city, including five bodies that were charred.

Four Palestinians were killed and 17 others were injured as a result of Israeli shelling targeting a gathering of civilians attempting to return to the al-Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City, as per our correspondent.
