Egypt has strongly condemned the recent Israeli raid on the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, emphasizing it is a dangerous escalation against the Palestinian people.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs said that “the Republic of Egypt expresses its condemnation and strong disapproval of the Israeli army's raid on the city of Ramallah and its targeting and injury of Palestinian civilians in a dangerous escalation of ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank.”

The ministry emphasized that such actions represent a continued pattern of aggression, further intensifying the already volatile situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Cairo warns of regional destabilization

The Egyptian statement held the Israeli government responsible for regional instability, citing its “aggressive and extremist policies” as the main factor fueling tensions.

“Egypt stresses that the aggressive and extremist policies of the Israeli government are the main factor destabilizing the region, due to its provocative actions and its rejection and obstruction of all opportunities for peace in the region,” the statement read.

The Foreign Ministry also warned of “the serious consequences of Israeli arrogance, which dominates Israeli attitudes and policies and its efforts to expand the conflict.”

Egypt renewed its appeal to the international community to take decisive measures to curb "Israel's" continued violations of international law.

“Egypt renews its call on all members of the international community to take the necessary measures to compel 'Israel' to respect international law and international humanitarian law and to stop its flagrant violations in the occupied Palestinian territories,” the ministry added.

Everyday reality of the West Bank

Israeli occupation forces carried out a broad arrest campaign at dawn on Tuesday, targeting several areas across the occupied West Bank.

In Deir Abu Mash'al, west of Ramallah, occupation forces arrested four Palestinians, including two children, during early morning operations.

Settlers also stormed Ramallah, particularly the al-Tal area near Sinjil and opened heavy fire, while at the same time, occupation forces raided the town of Turmusaya, north of the city.

These attacks come amid a sharp escalation of both popular and armed resistance in the West Bank, as daily Israeli military and settler attacks continue to target Palestinian towns and villages.
