EU: Talks with Iran Will Resume Within an Acceptable Period
High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that nuclear talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue within an acceptable period.
Josep Borell, The European Union's foreign policy chief, said he believes nuclear talks with Iran will resume within an acceptable period of time.
Borell made his announcement during a press conference in the Qatari capital, al-Doha.
Iranian Stance:
Last Friday, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Hossein Amirabdollahian asserted that His country is will return to negotiations aiming to revive the 2015 nuclear deal "very soon."
A senior Iranian official had confirmed that a return to the Vienna negotiations to revive the Iranian nuclear agreement will take place perhaps within days or weeks.
US's Stance:
A senior US official revealed last Thursday, that the opportunity still exists for reviving the Iranian nuclear deal, but "Tehran has not yet put forward a date for resuming talks."
Six rounds of talks were held between Iran and international powers, including France, in Vienna during the period extending between last April and June, in an attempt to revive the nuclear agreement.
