Factions unite to respond to Egypt's proposal to end war: PIJ
The Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement highlighted that "a majority of Israelis endorse the continuation of military operations in Gaza" and that "the disagreement revolves around the fate of the prisoners."
On Friday, Mohammad al-Hindi, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, clarified that the Palestinian Resistances' statement - urging a halt to aggression before exchanging prisoners - "is not a response to the Egyptian proposal but rather a declaration concerning today's meeting."
In a statement, al-Hindi added that all factions must agree on the Egyptian proposal.
The statement confirms that a response to the Egyptian proposal will be formulated in the upcoming days, "and we will communicate it to Cairo regarding the comprehensive issues related to halting the aggression and exchanging prisoners."
He pointed out that "Israel" is hindering the mechanism for the passage of aid at the Rafah crossing, and there is a positive Egyptian stance to address the issue."

Al-Hindi stated, "Israel seeks to persist in its aggression against Gaza even after eliminating the resistance's prisoner card," emphasizing that "Israel and the United States are incapable of facing a regional war in the area."
He asserted that "the battlefield is a crucial asset for the resistance, and victory is not guaranteed," emphasizing that "Israel has failed to project an image of victory and will not attain its objectives."
Regarding the fate of the third stage mentioned by "Israel," Al-Hindi stated, "It is destined to fail, just like the previous two stages," emphasizing that "the Palestinian people thwarted the deportation option that Israel had adopted."
