In late April, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor estimated that "Israel" dropped more than approximately 70,000 tons of bombs on Gaza, over the six months between October 7 and April 24, surpassing the combined amount of bombs dropped on Dresden, Hamburg, and London during World War II.

"It is estimated that Israel has dropped more than 70,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip in addition to its bulldozing operations, destroying all buildings at a distance of up to one kilometer in the east and north of the Strip to create a so-called buffer zone," according to the Geneva-based human rights monitor organization.

According to Anadolu, between 1940 and 1941, the Germans bombed London, dropping around 18,300 tons of bombs, according to various estimates, including archives from The New York Times.

Around 8,500 tons of bombs were dropped by the Allies on Hamburg in the summer of 1943, said Hendrik Althoff, a researcher at the Department of History at the University of Hamburg. They also used up to 3,900 tons of bombs on Dresden in February 195, according to historical records.

"Israel" has continued its brutal aggression on Gaza, marking the heaviest bombing last week since the outbreak of the war on the Strip. Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on May 28 that Israeli forces concentrated their attacks on the western part of Rafah, unleashing relentless airstrikes and shelling that persisted for hours without pause, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded. Forcibly displaced families were also trapped due to the nonstop bombing, preventing rescue teams and medics from reaching them.

That said, the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza due to the Israeli genocidal war ongoing since October 7 has now reached 36,550, in addition to 82,959 injuries, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on June 5. Additionally, it confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces committed seven massacres across seven different families in the Gaza Strip, killing 71 and injuring 182 in 24 hours only.
