Frequent aggressions
Israeli aggressions against Syria are nothing new as they have been going on a frequent basis for several decades.
Just one day ago, the IOF carried out strikes targeting two positions for the Syrian Arab Army in the southern part of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Although no casualties were reported this time, the Defense Ministry reported material losses.
"Today, at approximately 01:35 [22:35 GMT], the Israeli enemy carried out an air strike from the occupied Syrian Golan, striking two positions of our armed forces in the vicinity of the city of Daraa, which led to material losses," a Defense Ministry statement said according to Syrian news agency SANA.
On October 25, an Israeli airstrikes took the lives of eight Syrian Arab Army soldiers and wounded seven others.
The attack was carried out from the occupied Golan on army positions in the Daraa countryside.
US occupation bases in Iraq, Syria attacked
In the context of the ongoing aggression against Gaza, resistance groups have waged several attacks against US occupation bases in both Iraq and Syria.
On October 28, US President Joe Biden offered what the White House dubbed as "legal justification" for US airstrikes carried out against Syria earlier in the week.
According to the White House, the airstrikes that targeted Syrian territory earlier this week were a rightful response to the attacks against US forces in occupation bases in the region.
The White House said the US' attacks were lawful for two reasons. Firstly, because they were in line with presidential war powers, and secondly, the US claimed it had a right to defend its bases.
The following day, Russia's representative at the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia called US justifications as invalid as "Syria is thousands of kilometers away from the United States."
Nebenzia further underlined that "the United States is protecting its own interests at the expense of the Syrian people, posing a clear threat to the entire region's security."
