Israeli aggression on Syria kills eight Syrian soldiers, injures seven
"Israel" is aggressing three countries at the same time: Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, amid deafening international silence.
A new act of Israeli aggression on Wednesday killed eight Syrian Arab Army soldiers and wounded seven others in an attack carried out from the occupied Golan on army positions in the Daraa countryside.
“At about 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of occupied Syrian Golan, targeting several military sites in Daraa countryside,” a military source said as quoted by the Syrian state news agency (SANA).
This comes shortly after both Damascus and Aleppo international airports were targeted by Israeli airstrikes.
On October 15, the Aleppo International Airport’s runway was targeted by an Israeli airstrike.
On October 12, it was reported that Syrian air defenses intercepted attacks on the airports of Damascus and Aleppo, whose runways were damaged by the Israeli aggression.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation continues its genocidal aggression against Gaza. On this note, Al-Hakam Dandi, Deputy Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations, on behalf of Minister Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad, stressed during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Damascus' rejection of plans and attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians in his statement during a UNSC quarterly meeting on "The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question."
"The Israeli occupation committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during its aggression on the Gaza Strip, using internationally banned weapons, as well as cutting off water, medicine, electricity, and fuel from people and threatening them with forcible displacement," the statement read.
Syria's Foreign Minister put the October 7, Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, into its historical context, saying, "The main factor for escalation in occupied Palestinian territories is the injustice which our people have been facing for decades."
The statement pointed to the "monstrous war" led by the Israeli occupation to end the Palestinian cause "by committing massacres and genocidal crimes."
