Gantz reveals 'aid offer' to Lebanon in Bahrain; any implications?
Israeli occupation Security Minister Benny Gantz reveals "aid" to Lebanon during his first visit to Bahrain; what could he have had in mind?
Israeli Security Minister Benny Gantz offered aid to Lebanon knowing that no one there would accept it, but what was remarkable about his offer is that he chose to reveal it during his visit to Bahrain.
Gantz revealed that the Israeli occupation had requested to supply Lebanon with aid four times, and Israeli media alleged that the reason behind this was his concern about maintaining "Israel's" "humanitarian image," though the Israeli government is responsible for a blockade on millions in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli media acknowledged it was impossible for any political parties in Lebanon, at least not publicly. "Even despite the Lebanese ban on contact with Israelis, it is difficult to find a party that would be ready to cooperate or receive aid."
They also noted that the Lebanese legislative elections were just around the corner, knowing that any party receiving anything from "Tel Aviv" would harm their election campaign due to the public Lebanese rejection of the occupation.
The revelation was made in Manama during the first visit of an Israeli security minister to the Gulf nation, as Lebanon has been undergoing issues with the Gulf over statements from former Lebanese minister George Kordahi of information against the Saudi-led coalition's massacres against the Yemeni people as part of their campaign against the country.
Therefore it seems that Gantz's announcement in a Gulf state could have come with other things in mind, perhaps to fuel the ongoing feud between Lebanon and the Gulf.
