The Gaza Government Media Office has categorically denied a claim from US Central Command that Hamas looted an aid truck in northern Khan Younis. It labeled the accusation a "complete fabrication" and part of a deliberate disinformation campaign intended to discredit the Palestinian police, whom they state are diligently performing their duty to secure and protect humanitarian aid convoys.
The statement noted that the police forces in the Gaza Strip had been tasked with escorting and securing humanitarian aid, successfully ensuring its delivery to warehouses for distribution to citizens.

The Media Office added that the police force had suffered over 1,000 fatalities and hundreds of injuries while performing these duties of protecting aid convoys and personnel, which refutes any allegations of their involvement in looting or theft.
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that international organizations have confirmed the police forces did not participate in theft and played a clear role in preventing it, while also accusing the Israeli occupation forces of systematically targeting these police and volunteer security personnel in an effort to create chaos and facilitate theft throughout the Gaza Strip.
Rejecting the allegations as fundamentally contradictory and fabricated, the statement pointed out that the US Central Command first claimed to have only "observed suspected Hamas elements" yet presented this as an established fact without providing material evidence, a field reference, or specifying the incident's precise date, time, and location in the shared video, characterizing the entire accusation as a blatant attempt to mislead public opinion.
The Gaza Government Media Office then questioned the identity of the unnamed "international partners" cited by US Central Command, asserting that all international organizations operating in Gaza have repeatedly confirmed in their official statements that there are no documented cases of aid being stolen or looted by the Palestinian security forces.
Thefts perpetrated by collaborators with 'Israel'
The Office, in its statement, asserted that the thefts are instead the work of outlaw gangs fostered by the Israeli occupation, which provides them with weapons and logistical support, while also noting that international organizations have commended the cooperation and facilitation provided by governmental bodies to ensure aid reaches those in need.
Additionally, the statement denounced the claim that security forces stole an ambulance and a truck as a blatant fabrication unsupported by any recording or evidence, arguing that the alleged video contains no footage to substantiate this accusation, thus confirming that it is based on a deliberately fabricated narrative.
The statement further contested the US Central Command's figure of "nearly 40" operating organizations as misleading, stating the actual number of aid groups is only about 22, most of which face systematic obstruction and restrictions from the Israeli occupation that impede aid entry and movement.
US CENTCOM showcased its bias toward 'Israel'
The Gaza Government Media Office's statement then questioned where the US Central Command and the UN had been during repeated post-ceasefire violations, listing Israeli actions that included the killing and arrest of civilians, military incursions, and the systematic obstruction of aid, fuel, and equipment necessary for recovering bodies and evacuating the wounded.
The statement explained that the US Central Command's silence on these daily crimes, combined with its focus on spreading dubious allegations against the Palestinian police, confirmed its complete bias toward the Israeli occupation, not to mention its loss of credibility as an entity expected to be neutral and observant.
Concluding its statement, the Gaza Government Media Office strongly condemned the disinformation campaign and held the United States and its Central Command fully responsible for these false claims.
It called on international mediators to intervene urgently, compel "Israel" to respect the ceasefire, ensure the unimpeded entry of aid, and hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes.
Hamas says US CENTCOM claims aim to reduce aid to Gaza
On the other hand, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas published a statement rejecting US CENTCOM's claims that its members had looted an aid truck, pointing out that such fabrication aims at shrinking the amount of aid allowed into Gaza.
Hamas strongly condemned the US Central Command's statements about an alleged "aid truck looting," calling the claims baseless and an attempt to justify reducing the already limited humanitarian aid while covering up the international community's failure to end the blockade and the starvation of civilians in Gaza.
The movement stated that the police and security apparatuses in Gaza have provided over a thousand martyrs and hundreds of wounded while performing their duty to secure aid convoys and ensure aid reaches its intended recipients.
It affirmed that the instances of chaos and looting ended immediately after the occupation forces withdrew, which proves that the occupation is the party that sponsored those gangs and managed the chaos that accompanied its presence.
Hamas further stated that no complaints or reports have been filed by international or local institutions or by the workers in the relief convoys regarding any incident of this kind, confirming that "the scene the US Central Command relied upon is fabricated and manufactured to justify the policies of blockade and the reduction of humanitarian support."
US needs conscience, not drones: Hamas
The movement affirmed that the United States, which claims to be monitoring the situation in Gaza, has failed to observe the daily crimes committed by the Israeli occupation, noting that 254 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, 91% of them civilians.
It further stated that US aircraft have also failed to monitor the daily violations of the "yellow line", where the occupation enforces a fire control zone over an area exceeding 35 square kilometers of the Strip and systematically demolishes civilian homes.
Hamas also pointed out that the US surveillance has not captured the scenes of fuel shortages or the civilians being deprived of essential proteins like eggs, chicken, and meat for two years, while the number of aid trucks entering the sector does not exceed 135 per day, a number it has repeatedly demanded be increased.
Hamas concluded its statement by asserting that the US administration's complete bias towards the occupation's narrative makes it a partner in the blockade and humanitarian suffering. It added that Washington needs not drones, but a measure of human conscience and political responsibility to stop justifying the occupation's violations and force it to adhere to agreements.
