The Palestinian Resistance announced a series of operations against Israeli occupation forces engaged in incursions inside Gaza City, underscoring its continued military activity despite the long siege and intense bombardment.
Al-Qassam Brigades operations
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said its fighters struck several Israeli targets in recent days.
On Saturday, fighters “targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an al-Yassin-105 shell south of the Salahhi Tower in Tel al-Hawa, south of Gaza City.”
In the same area, the brigades reported that a Resistance unit “fired an anti-personnel shell at an Israeli force fortified inside a house, inflicting casualties,” and also hit an Israeli Namer armored personnel carrier (APC) with a tandem rocket-proppelled grenade (RPG).
A day earlier, Al-Qassam said it had struck a Merkava tank with a Shawaz device, an explosively formed penetrator, near the Abu Zur farm and shelled an Israeli gathering with several mortar rounds.
Separately, on September 24, the brigades confirmed that a sniper operation in the Halawa area of Gaza’s al-Tuffah neighborhood killed an Israeli soldier instantly.
Al-Quds Brigades operations
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, also announced a series of attacks.
The faction confirmed that its fighters “targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an anti-armor shell near the al-Asil junction in Gaza City’s al-Sabra neighborhood” on Thursday.
On September 26, Al-Quds said it detonated a pre-planted anti-armor explosive device near the vicinity of al-Quds Hospital, destroying an Israeli military vehicle. In a separate operation, fighters announced they had seized control of an Israeli reconnaissance drone while it was carrying out intelligence-gathering missions over Gaza City.
Resistance vows continuation of operations
Despite the ongoing aggression, siege, and attempts to impose occupation on Gaza City, Palestinian Resistance factions stressed that operations and ambushes will continue across different axes. The groups underlined that they remain determined to confront Israeli forces, particularly in Gaza City, which has faced intensified attacks aimed at its occupation and the displacement of its residents.
