A Palestinian refugee recounted to Al Mayadeen details of the Israeli blockade imposed on displaced families in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday, along with the arrest operation that targeted dozens of civilian youths.
She revealed that the occupation forces raided the vicinity of the Khalifa school where she took shelter, and ordered the women, through loudspeakers, to descend to the al-Qassam square in the building. The IOF then proceeded to detain all males over the age of 14 years old, adding that they were left exposed to the cold alongside their children, with no water, food or something to cover up with.
Israeli military tanks and snipers surrounded them as well, the woman said.
She recounted that among the males detained, only 10% were returned to Beit Lahia, while the rest are still detained and their fate remains unknown.
