Hamas and the PIJ express their appreciation for Iran and its steadfast positions and the strategic support it provides to the Resistance and the Palestinian people.
Hamas announced that a meeting was held Thursday between a delegation from the movement, headed by its political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, and another from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, led by its Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhalah, in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
In a statement published on Friday, Hamas said the leaderships of the two movements affirmed that the success of any indirect negotiations with "Israel" is hanged on the cessation of its aggression and the complete withdrawal of its forces from the Gaza Strip, the return of displaced people, and the entry of humanitarian aid, coinciding with a prisoner exchange.
The two movements praised the supporting Resistance operations in Yemen, Iraq, and southern Lebanon, which confirm the unity of the battlefields and demonstrate that the Palestinian people are not alone in facing the Israeli occupation.
Hamas and the PIJ expressed their appreciation for Iran and its steadfast positions and the strategic support it provides to the Resistance and the Palestinian people, calling on the whole nation to expand the scope of confrontation with the Israeli occupation through all legitimate means.
The leaderships of the two movements praised the expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people and the massive marches in various cities and capitals worldwide, which push toward the isolation of "Israel" and its supporters.
Additionally, Hamas and the PIJ addressed the Israeli aggression and violations against al-Quds and al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as assassinations in the occupied West Bank, emphasizing the necessity of escalating all acts of resistance in all confrontation fields.
Elsewhere, the two Palestinian movements pointed out that the continued military and diplomatic support for "Israel" is akin to taking part in the ongoing war on Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that Haniyeh arrived Tuesday in Tehran at the head of a high-level delegation, where he met with Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and discussed the developments related to the ongoing war on Gaza.
