Hamas calls for ICC investigation following IOF testimonies
Hamas called out the occupation forces' use of unarmed civilians as "targets for amusement" as "a stain on humanity."
Palestinian Resistance group Hamas called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Wednesday to investigate "Israel's" war crimes in the Gaza Strip following recent testimonies from IOF soldiers of murdering Palestinians out of "boredom".
"The confessions of the Zionist occupation soldiers...and their confirmation that they were given a green-light by the leaders of the terrorist occupation army to commit the most heinous crimes, such as shooting at unarmed civilians, burning and destroying homes" in Gaza require "serious follow-up by the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court," Hamas said in a statement.
"It is permissible to shoot at their center of mass (their body), not into the air... It's permissible to shoot everyone, a young girl, an old woman," an IOF soldier said in the recent publications of the +972 Magazine and Local Call Israeli outlets, which interviewed six occupation soldiers, recounting their war crimes in detail.
The occupation forces also admitted to firing their weapons out of "boredom," "routinely" murdering Palestinian civilians in "no-go" zones, and hiding their bodies before the arrival of international aid convoys.
The IOF soldiers made use of dehumanizing language to describe Palestinians, stating their surroundings were "littered with civilian corpses, which are left to rot or be eaten by stray animals."
The Resistance group called out the occupation forces' use of unarmed civilians as "targets for amusement" as "a stain on humanity," while condemning the international community's negligence in enforcing punitive measures on the genocidal "Israeli" regime, who have killed over 186,000 Palestinians.
+972 Magazine and Local Call testimonies
Six Israeli soldiers, speaking to +972 Magazine and Local Call after being discharged from active duty in Gaza in recent months, reported instances of executions that lacked any clear "security justification".
Corroborating the accounts of Palestinian eyewitnesses and doctors during the ongoing Israeli genocide, the Israeli soldiers described being authorized to shoot Palestinians indiscriminately.
Of the interviewed six sources, all but one spoke anonymously. They recounted how Israeli soldiers routinely executed Palestinian civilians for entering areas designated as "no-go zones" by the military.
The testimonies depict a grim scene of civilian bodies scattered across the landscape, often left to decay or be scavenged by animals.
The army reportedly only removes these bodies by bulldozer before the arrival of international aid convoys to prevent images of advanced decomposition from spreading. Additionally, two soldiers described a systematic policy of setting Palestinian homes on fire before leaving them after their occupation.
