Hezbollah, regional media authorities condemn Israeli IRIB bombing
Hezbollah, Yemen, Iraq, and media unions condemn Israeli strike on IRIB HQ in Tehran, calling it a war crime and an assault on press freedom.

Condemnations have poured in from across the region after an Israeli airstrike targeted the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in central Tehran, killing and injuring several journalists and staff.
Hezbollah, through its Media Relations Office, denounced the “heinous Zionist crime,” offering its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and expressing full solidarity with the leadership and staff of IRIB. “This deliberate attack is not just a crime against the media, but against all innocent civilians,” the statement read.
Yemen affirms solidarity with Iran
In Yemen, the Ministry of Information in Sanaa strongly condemned the Israeli attack, calling it a "desperate attempt to silence the voice of the free and independent Iranian people" who reject US hegemony and schemes to dismantle the region and liquidate the Palestinian cause.
The Yemeni Radio and Television Corporation also issued a statement denouncing what it called “a blatant aggression against Iran’s national media,” voicing support for the steadfastness of the IRIB staff and hailing their pivotal role in confronting the Israeli narrative.
Similarly, Ansar Allah’s Media Authority decried the “cowardly and treacherous crime” committed by the Israeli occupation, emphasizing that targeting media institutions constitutes a war crime and a direct assault on freedom of the press.
Lebanese media institutions denounce attack
In Lebanon, the Lebanese Media Group, which includes Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio, condemned the Israeli attack as “a blatant violation of international laws that guarantee the protection of media institutions.”
The Media Office of the Islamic Action Front in Lebanon accused the Israeli regime of intentionally murdering journalists and staff members in a targeted strike aimed at suppressing truthful reporting.
Lebanon’s Union of Visual and Audio Media Workers issued a strongly worded statement, denouncing the strike as “yet another entry in a long record of crimes against free journalism.” The union expressed its solidarity with Iranian journalists and called for accountability for the Israeli regime.
Iraqi journalists' syndicate condemns strike
From Iraq, the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate also condemned the strike, demanding that the international community intervene immediately to halt Israeli crimes against journalists and media institutions.
Footage was released showing the moment strikes hit the building during the station's live broadcast, as well as the aftermath of the attack. Iranian media reported a number of martyrs and injuries in the strikes.

Notably, despite the attack and in a heroic act, the corporation resumed its live broadcast, with the host boldly challenging the Israeli occupation, saying, "target us again."

On its part, Al Mayadeen Media Network strongly condemned the attack, slamming it as not only a crime against the freedom of the press, journalism, and journalists, but also a war crime against humanity.
