Hezbollah leader taunts 'Israel' in first speech since October 7
Sayyed Nasrallah's harsh words were not only directed at the Israeli occupation but also at its largest supporter, the United States.
In his Friday address to Lebanese supporters, the leader of the Lebanese Resistance group Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, taunted "Israel".
The address was given on the same day that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in "Israel" under the guise of protecting civilian lives.
Taunting Israelis and reminding them of their defeat in the 2006 July War, Sayyed Nasrallah compared the Israeli objective of eliminating Hamas to the entity's objective of "crushing the Resistance in Lebanon" in 2006 and retrieving the two abducted Israeli prisoners "without engaging in negotiations or [prisoners] exchange," which it failed to achieve, saying that the same scenario is being repeated in Gaza as the Israelis fail to adapt or learn from the mistakes they commit.
Sayyed Nasrallah also reminded them of the "weaker than a spider's web" speech he had delivered in Bint Jbeil, on May 26, 2000, a day after the liberation of Lebanon, pointing out that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood further exposed the weakness and frailty of the Israeli entity” and that it truly is “weaker than a spider’s web.”
Meanwhile, Blinken, after expressing pain over the killings of whom he called innocent Palestinians, said on Thursday that he would push "Israel" to take "concrete steps" to reduce harm to people in Gaza, not end it.
Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was 100% a Palestinian decision, and its execution was 100% Palestinian," adding that "its initiators kept it concealed from everyone, even from other Palestinian factions and Resistance movements, which they did not mind," slamming all reports that Iran was behind this operation.
During the ceremony held in honor of the martyrs who embraced martyrdom on the path to Al-Quds, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that “the absolute secrecy of the operation is what ensured its remarkable success through the outstanding element of surprise," adding that the Operation has expanded and extended to include more than one front and battleground.
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood further exposed the weakness and frailty of the Israeli entity” and that it truly is “weaker than a spider’s web.”
He also touched on Biden's false accusations that Hamas beheaded babies, blaming the US for funding and abetting the atrocities that "Israel" is committing against Palestinians.
He then questioned "Israel's" ability to sustain its existence considering that it asked for $10 billion in aid from the US on the first day of confrontations. He also pointed to the great number of US military officials that headed to occupied Palestine to assist "Israel", as well as the vast number of weapons sent to the occupation, all of which show that "Israel" is not able to independently "stand on its feet."
Sayyed Nasrallah compared the Israeli objective of eliminating Hamas to its objective of "crushing the Resistance in Lebanon" in 2006 and retrieving the two abducted Israeli prisoners, "without engaging in negotiations or [prisoners] exchange."
He underlined that the Israelis do not learn or adapt after making mistakes such as the one they made in their 2006 defeat, repeating today in Gaza.
Holding their breath
The Israeli security and military command should listen carefully to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech, Yossi Amrosi, a former senior official for the Israeli security agency Shin Bet told Israeli Channel 13.
Israeli Channel 13 also reported that tensions have been high near the Palestinian-Lebanese border for the past 24 hours, adding that everyone is on standby awaiting Sayyed Nasrallah's address.
In this context, Alon Ben David, Channel 13's military affairs expert said that the expected speech has made Israelis extremely worried. Channel 12 said that people in the Middle East are holding their breath in anticipation of the speech.

White House National Security Council spokesperson, John Kirby, said that the White House administration will be paying "close attention".
Just yesterday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon mourned its freedom fighters Hisham Mohammad Ismail, Ali Abbas Melhem, Mohsen Reda Ayyash, Ali Kazem Ftouni, and Hussein Walid Zeeb, who were martyred while performing their duty in south Lebanon against the Israeli occupation.
Earlier, Hezbollah announced for the first time in the ongoing confrontations that it had used drones to target an Israeli military base near the Lebanese border.
In an operation on Thursday, the Resistance group announced it had targeted the headquarters of the Israeli Zebdine barracks in occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with two UAVs carrying a heavy load of explosives, confirming direct hits.
