Hezbollah MP to NBC: 'Wait and see what kind of resistance is ready'
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported that dozens of elite Israeli soldiers were wounded, with their cries heard throughout the area.
Lebanon's Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentarian bloc MP, Ibrahim al-Moussawi, told NBC News on Wednesday that Hezbollah fighters inflicted "many casualties" on Israeli troops during an "ambush" inside Lebanese territory.
The politician stated that the Israeli forces attempted to storm a village near the border, sparking a firefight that led to the death of at least one Israeli soldier. Later statements by the IOF revised the count to eight soldiers.
This marks the first such combat on Lebanese soil since the 2006 war between "Israel" and Hezbollah.

Al-Moussawi said that the clash demonstrated Hezbollah’s readiness to retaliate despite weeks of Israeli bombardments across Lebanon, many of which included assassinations of major Hezbollah figures, including Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
"Wait and see," al-Moussawi said. “Today has given an example, a model of what kind of resistance is ready to fight back against the Israelis.”
The confrontation comes amid heightened tensions and intensive military actions, with "Israel" continuing to face Hezbollah's ongoing projectile attacks, some of which have been intercepted by Israeli air defenses while others have successfully reached their targets.

On October 1st, "Israel" announced that it initiated a series of "limited" and "localized raids" in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said the incursion is being carried out based on "precise intelligence", focusing on villages in southern Lebanon at the border area with occupied Palestine as part of a broader plan developed by the General Staff and the Northern Command.
The invasion is supported by the Israeli occupation's Air Force and Artillery carrying out extensive strikes on southern Lebanon as part of the Israeli Operation Northern Arrows.
The initial hours of the operation were reported as a failure, but the following day, the IOF decided to launch its incursion.
