Hezbollah ops. increasingly worry 'Israel' about future: Safieddine
The Head of Hezbollah's Executive Council speaks during the forty-day memorial of martyred leader Sayyed Fouad Shokor and affirms “Israel’s” ultimate failure.
The Israeli enemy, after almost a whole year of its war on Gaza and aggression on South Lebanon, stands lost and confused before its disappointments as it observes its failure to achieve any of its goals, said the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
Speaking on the forty-day memorial service held for martyred leader Sayyed Fouad Shokor, Sayyed Safieddine said that "the occupation is stuck in a deep crisis, evidenced by targeting leaders and civilians alike," adding that "the Resistance fighters are fighting the battle today in Gaza, South Lebanon, and across the entire Ummah with utmost courage as they thwart the enemy's malicious plans."
The fact that the enemy’s goals and schemes in Gaza, South Lebanon, and across the nation will not be achieved is evident, according to Sayyed Safieddine, who confirmed that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was a manifestation of the will of the Resistance fighters, which shook the Israeli project to its core and left the Israeli leaders feeling that everything they had built was on its way to destruction.”
He also pointed out that "although the Israeli enemy continues its massacres in the Gaza Strip, it has still to achieve its end goal, which indicates an unusual dysfunction." Sayyed Safieddine added that "the military that once considered itself legendary has failed to achieve its goals despite the ongoing mass destruction, killing, starvation, and siege."
Commenting on the Karameh Crossing operation on the Jordanian-Palestinian border, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council said it is clear proof that the spirit of resistance exists in Jordan and the entire Arab world.
Regarding the operations of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon that have been ongoing since October 8, 2023, until today against the Israeli occupation, Sayyed Safieddine said that they "deprive the occupation of any sense of security and stability in the north and make it increasingly worried about its future."
The Hezbollah official pointed to the “empty strategies” the Israelis are resorting to, affirming that “what they are doing in terms of destruction, threats, and assassinations will not restore security and tranquility to the settlers of the north.”
“The only solution is to stop the aggression on the Gaza Strip," Sayyed Safieddine asserted.
He explained that the assassination of Martyr Sayyed Fouad Shokor added "Tel Aviv" to the Islamic Resistance's operations, which was reinforced in Hezbollah’s Operation Arbaeen against the Israeli occupation.
He, once again, confirmed that the drones reached and hit their targets in the Israeli Unit 8200, according to the group’s information.
During the 40-day memorial service of martyred leader Sayyed Shokor, his daughter Khadija told Al Mayadeen that “if the Israelis and those behind them were suffering during Sayyed Shokor’s life, their suffering will multiply because of what he has left behind for them.”
Hezbollah confirmed in late August that it launched an "initial response" to the assassination of Sayyed Shokor by launching a large number of drones deep into the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon clarified that the attack targeted a strategic Israeli military site.
Later, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah announced that the primary targets of Sunday's operation were the central Glilot base of Israeli military intelligence Aman, incorporating the central hub of Unit 8200, located near Tel Aviv, and the Ein Shemer airbase.
He confirmed that "a significant number of drones hit their intended targets, but the enemy is keeping all relevant details concealed."
Sayyed Nasrallah explained that the operation entailed two phases. The initial phase was focused on targeting sites and barracks in northern occupied Palestine with the hundreds of intended rockets to exhaust and deplete the Iron Dome and interceptor missiles, which paved the way for phase two, which saw the swarms of drones heading toward their intended targets.
