Hezbollah swiftly restored its capabilities: Ghalibaf
The Iranian Parliament Speaker reiterates Tehran's support for any decision made by the people and government of Lebanon.
The speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, asserted that "the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has undergone a remarkable and rapid revitalization." He underscored Iran's unwavering support for "any decision made by the people and government of Lebanon."
At Mehrabad Airport, after returning from Geneva, having attended the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Ghalibaf said, "We made every effort in Geneva to convey the voice of the oppressed people of Lebanon and Palestine," adding that "both Islamic and non-Islamic countries have taken good positions toward Palestine."
The Iranian official stated that during his visit to Beirut last week, he conveyed "Iran's message of support for the Lebanese and Palestinian people."
Ghalibaf had previously warned of the potential repercussions if the current situation in the Middle East continues, given the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.
Ghalibaf in Geneva: 'The region will ignite'
During his speech in Geneva, Ghalibaf warned of the severe consequences of the current situation in the Middle East, particularly in light of the Israeli occupation's ongoing aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
He stated, "The world will witness a major crisis, and the region will ignite," if Israeli massacres, supported by the United States and its allies, continue.
Ghalibaf called on nations supporting "Israel" to "halt their intelligence, political, and economic backing of the Zionist entity before it's too late." He emphasized that Israeli escalation would set the region ablaze, warning, "Once that happens, peace cannot be restored. Everyone will suffer," including the US and the occupation's allies.
He reiterated Iran's commitment to supporting a ceasefire, "which has the full backing of the Lebanese government, people, and resistance."
