In 171 days only, 'Israel' detained 7,770 Palestinians in West Bank
Israeli occupation forces have detained at least 15 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank in one day.
Israeli occupation forces detained 15 Palestinians on Monday, including a child, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS).
This comes after Israeli authorities launched another large-scale detention campaign against Palestinians in the occupied territory. The PPS, an organization focused on the affairs of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, said that the detention campaign was concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and Qalqilya, while others were detained in the governorates of Jenin, al-Khalil, Beit Lahm, and occupied al-Quds.
Accompanied by the usual brutality, the Israeli raids on Palestinian towns witnessed the widespread severe physical assault on citizens, as well as vandalism of private property and threats against detainees and their families, according to PPS.
The total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank has risen beyond 7,770 since October 7, 2023. Israeli authorities seek to subjugate Palestinians in occupied territories from expressing support for fellow citizens in the Gaza Strip.
This policy has been paired with continuous raids on Palestinian cities and towns that have been confronted by Palestinian Resistance fighters, especially in the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates, which host the West Bank's most developed Resistance groups.
