In Gaza, 'nowhere is safe' amid ongoing, indiscriminate bombing: UN
The UN humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory describes how Gazans are left with "impossible choices".
The United Nations delivered a dire message on Thursday, cautioning that there is no safe place left in Gaza as Israeli airstrikes intensify in anticipation of a possible ground operation.
The UN humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory said in a statement that "people are left with nothing but impossible choices," adding that "nowhere is safe in Gaza."
On his part, Salama Maarouf, the head of the government media office, expressed serious concerns about the insufficient mechanisms for delivering aid to Gaza. He stated that the aid currently entering the region falls far short of the immense needs of the people in Gaza.

Moreover, he emphasized that "Israel's" threats to set Gaza back by 50 years have become a stark reality, as Israeli airstrikes have devastated nearly half of the residential units in the area. Furthermore, "Israel's" use of highly destructive munitions is causing extensive damage to Gaza's infrastructure, he further stressed.
Meanwhile, the situation in Gaza is deplorable. When examined objectively, it bears the hallmarks of genocide in every sense of the word.

The situation is not new to the people of Gaza. For over the past half-century, the Gaza enclave has been under occupation that entails controlling and restricting the free flow of people and goods in a bid to choke the civilian population, resulting in unspeakable living conditions.
