Increased danger posed by Hezbollah anti-air power: Israeli media
According to the channel, Israeli Air Force officials "realized that the danger posed by Hezbollah's growing air defense capabilities had increased."
Israeli Channel 12 has reported that Hezbollah's air defenses include a formation that aims at the superiority of the Israeli air force in the northern occupied territories.
According to the channel, Israeli Air Force officials "realized that the danger posed by Hezbollah's growing air defense capabilities had increased."
The channel pointed out that Hezbollah succeeded in obtaining dozens of air defense systems from Iran, from shoulder-fired missiles to heavy platforms, which aim to "undermine the freedom of flight enjoyed by the Israeli Air Force in Lebanon, and undermining Israel's air superiority."
The Israeli channel touched on some of Hezbollah’s achievements in this regard, particularly in the current battle and in the last 11 months, noting that it “succeeded in shooting down 5 Israeli drones, including large and important aircraft, such as the Hermes 900 UAV,” dubbed Kochav by the occupation, and noting that Hezbollah announced shooting down 7 drones.
Regarding the formation of Hezbollah's air defenses, the channel asserted it took several years and that "the first signs appeared about 5 years ago when Hezbollah began locking its radars on Israeli Air Force planes."
Going back to that time, in 2019, the channel reported that “an air defense missile was detected being fired at an Air Force drone," adding that "additional launches were monitored in 2020 and 2021 as well."

Regarding the transfer of air defense missiles, the Israeli channel reported that estimates in the Israeli army indicate that the missiles “arrived in Lebanon via Syria, and also via the sea.”
High-ranking officials in the occupation's security establishment believe Russia also has a connection to delivering these systems.
Regarding training, the channel claimed that members of the Quds Force, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran, “transferred expertise in operating air defense missile systems,” and that Hezbollah members “underwent rehabilitation and training in Syria, and in Iran as well.”
Hezbollah's drones strike Israeli troops in the Golan
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah launched a total of 10 operations against Israeli military assets and personnel on Thursday, in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanese territories and in support of the besieged Palestinian people.
Initially, Hezbollah's Unmanned Air Force launched swarms of suicide drones at the positions and dwelling areas of Israeli occupation troops in the Nafah barracks in the occupied Syrian Golan.
The drones struck positions in the 210th Division's headquarters, dealing precise hits to the intended targets. This attack came in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.
At 3:26 pm (local time) Hezbollah fighters attacked positions of Israeli occupation forces in the Zar'it military site. Later the Resistance announced that it targeted yet another set of positions taken by occupation soldiers in the Kfar Yuval settlement.
Hezbollah is undeterred and its most significant achievement has been the near year-long paralysis of "Israel", indicated the former head of the Israeli military Operations Division, Major General (Res.) Israel Ziv, on Wednesday.
In an interview with the Israeli Channel 12, Ziv said, “We are approaching a full year of war with Hamas, yet we remain unable to decisively win the battle, even though Hamas is a weaker adversary compared to Hezbollah.”
He further noted that while "Israel" has achieved some tactical successes, these have yet to translate into strategic ones.
The Israeli Major General (Res.) also noted that "Israel" remains under the Iranian threat.
