Internal division will not prevent 'Israel' from responding: Netanyahu
The Israeli occupation Prime Minister says "Israel" will hit back at its enemies.
Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that the ongoing internal division in Israeli society will not prevent "Israel" from responding firmly and significantly, following rockets fired from Lebanon.
Speaking at the start of an emergency security cabinet meeting in Al-Quds, Netanyahu said he has made it clear in recent days that "the internal debate among us will not prevent us from acting against Israel's enemy anywhere and at any time. We are all — with no exception — united on this stance."
The Israeli occupation's Prime Minister claimed that "Israel" has "no intention to change the status quo" at Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite Israeli occupation forces storming the Mosque and brutally assaulting the worshippers to pave the way for illegal Israeli settlers to celebrate "Jewish Passover holiday."
Netanyahu said, "Israel will hit back at its enemies, and they will pay the price for every act of aggression."
Earlier, the Israeli occupation military said that 34 rockets were launched on Thursday from southern Lebanon and targeted occupied Al-Jalil.
The occupation said the Iron Dome air security system intercepted 25 of the projectiles, adding that at least five rockets landed in occupied Palestinian lands.
It claimed that the locations of the remaining four rockets are still unknown.
Israeli media reported that the rockets caused two minor injuries and some damage.
The Times of Israel highlighted that the attack "may mark the largest number of rockets fired from Lebanon" since the July 2006 war.
On its part, the Israeli occupation Foreign Ministry confirmed that it is instructing Israeli missions around the world to inform the so-called international community that "Israel" will respond to today’s rocket barrage from Lebanon.

Extreme, irresponsible behavior of Israeli government led to serious damage to deterrence: Lapid
Earlier, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid considered that "the extreme and irresponsible behavior of the current government led to serious damage to deterrence."
However, Lapid stressed that "when it comes to security, there is no opposition or coalition in Israel."
"We will stand united against any enemy. The opposition will give the government full backing for a harsh response," the opposition leader affirmed, adding that "Israel should respond at a time and place that is right for us."
"Instead of acting according to our enemies’ schedule, we must respond forcefully and mercilessly according to the security forces’ assessment of the evolving situation,” he concluded.
Similarly, opposition leader and former Israeli occupation Security Minister Gantz said the opposition "will back every responsible and determined action by the government to restore calm and strengthen deterrence."

Israeli Labor party chief slams opposition support for Netanyahu government
In response, Israeli Labor Party chief Merav Michaeli slammed Lapid and Gantz for saying they will support any decision made by Netanyahu's government.
"The job of the opposition is not to automatically back a government whose members are wandering around with a barrel of gasoline and attempting to light the region on fire," Michaeli tweeted.
"Our job is to examine every incident through a magnifying glass in order to ensure that Israel’s security is not compromised by extremist and irresponsible members of the government," she said.
