Numerous international parties swiftly welcomed the ceasefire in Gaza after it was announced, praising the efforts of the Palestinian people and their Resistance in the face of the Israeli occupation and its paramount aggression, which claimed tens of thousands of lives over the span of 16 months.

Yemen

Mohammed Abdul-Salam, the spokesperson for Ansar Allah, commended the historic and heroic resilience of Gaza in the face of "the most brutal Israeli aggression targeting the oppressed Palestinian people."

"We praise with great reverence and honor the legendary steadfastness of Gaza in confronting this unprecedented aggression," Abdul-Salam said. He expressed deep appreciation for the sacrifices of the Palestinian Resistance, highlighting the martyrdom of prominent leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar. "Their sacrifices did not weaken the Resistance; instead, they fought with unparalleled bravery, compelling the enemy to accept a ceasefire," he noted.

Abdul-Salam extended gratitude to Lebanon’s Islamic Resistance, acknowledging their pivotal role in supporting Gaza. "The Lebanese resistance fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifices for Gaza, Palestine, and al-Quds, crowned by the martyrdom of the great leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God be pleased with him," he said.

He also praised the role of Iraq’s Islamic Resistance for its significant contributions, as well as Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza despite ongoing challenges. "We thank God for enabling our people and armed forces to fulfill their responsibility by supporting Gaza through weekly million-strong demonstrations and impactful military operations from the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation until the ceasefire was declared," he stated.

Despite Yemen’s hardships due to a prolonged blockade and economic challenges, Abdul-Salam emphasized that these difficulties only strengthened their resolve. "Supporting Gaza is a religious and humanitarian duty that the entire nation must bear," he added.

Reflecting on the broader implications, Abdul-Salam stressed that the Palestinian cause remains a central issue. "The Israeli occupation continues to pose a threat to regional security and stability. Genuine peace in the region cannot be achieved without the removal of this imposed entity, sustained by Western and US support at the expense of the Palestinian people," he asserted.

Abdul-Salam concluded by calling on the global community to recognize the Palestinian struggle as a shared responsibility, emphasizing that the fight for justice in Palestine is integral to the region’s future stability and liberation.

Similarly, the secretary-general of the Iraqi al-Nujaba movement congratulated the Palestinian people for the cessation of hostilities and all the free people of the world for their support of Gaza.

United Nations

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire agreement and the release of captives in Gaza, expressing hope for the alleviation of suffering in the conflict-ridden region.

"I welcome the announcement of an agreement to secure a ceasefire and the release of hostages in Gaza," the Secretary-General said in a statement.

He praised the mediating efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, commending their unwavering commitment to achieving a diplomatic solution. "Their steadfast dedication to finding a resolution was crucial in reaching this breakthrough," he noted, urging all parties to honor their commitments and ensure the agreement’s full implementation.

The secretary-general reiterated his calls made since the onset of violence for an immediate ceasefire and the unconditional release of all captives.

"Our priority must be to ease the immense suffering caused by this conflict," he emphasized, affirming the UN’s readiness to support the agreement’s implementation and expand sustainable humanitarian relief to countless Palestinians still enduring hardship.

Describing the humanitarian situation as catastrophic, he stressed the importance of the ceasefire in addressing significant security and political obstacles to aid delivery across Gaza. "This ceasefire must pave the way for a massive increase in life-saving humanitarian assistance," he stated.

The secretary-general called on all parties to facilitate rapid, safe, and unhindered humanitarian relief for all civilians in need. "From our side, we will do everything possible within our humanitarian mandate, fully aware of the severe challenges and constraints we face," he said, adding that the UN anticipates collaborative support from humanitarian actors, the private sector, and bilateral initiatives.

United Kingdom

British Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Keir Starmer has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian Resistance, describing it as "long-overdue news" after months of bloodshed and suffering.

"This is the long-overdue news that the Israeli and Palestinian people have desperately been waiting for," Starmer stated. He emphasized the toll the war has taken.

Starmer called for immediate humanitarian relief. "For the innocent Palestinians whose homes turned into a warzone overnight and the many who have lost their lives, this ceasefire must allow for a huge surge in humanitarian aid, which is so desperately needed to end the suffering in Gaza."

Starmer reiterated the Labour Party’s support for a two-state solution as the basis for long-term peace. "Our attention must turn to how we secure a permanently better future for the Israeli and Palestinian people – grounded in a two-state solution that will guarantee security and stability for Israel, alongside a sovereign and viable Palestinian state," he said.

Also, in the UK, British Parliament member Jeremy Corbyn issued a scathing statement in the wake of the announced ceasefire in Gaza, condemning the global inaction that prolonged the suffering of millions. The statement described the past 15 months as a period of "horror and inhumanity" that "should haunt us forever."

"Home by home, hospital by hospital, generation by generation – we have witnessed a genocide, aided and abetted by governments across the world, including our own," the statement declared.

The ceasefire announcement was acknowledged as a moment of relief for survivors and their families. "It is beyond shameful that it has taken this long to bring it about. How many lives could have been saved if political leaders acted sooner and listened to the global demand for peace? They have blood on their hands – and it will never wash away," it added.

Calling for accountability, the statement urged the British government to cooperate fully with the International Criminal Court (ICC). "The British government must now cooperate fully with the ICC in pursuit of justice against all those who have committed war crimes. That includes complying with orders for arrest warrants, handing over all intelligence, and facing accountability for its own complicity in genocide," the statement asserted.

Furthermore, it demanded the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the West Bank and pledged continued solidarity with the Palestinian people. "We will continue to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people until they can live in peace, dignity, and freedom," the statement concluded.

Turkiye

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Hamas and the Israeli occupation, expressing hope that it will bring stability and peace to the region.

"We welcome the ceasefire agreement reached between the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas and Israel," Erdogan stated. He added, "We hope this agreement brings good to our Palestinian brothers and sisters in particular and to the region and the world as a whole."

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has expressed its support for the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation, urging both sides to adhere to the terms and calling for an end to Israeli military operations in Gaza.

"Saudi Arabia welcomes the ceasefire agreement and urges adherence to ending Israeli aggression on Gaza," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The Kingdom reiterated its demand for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian and Arab territories. "We stress the necessity of a complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip and all Palestinian and Arab lands," the statement emphasized.

Saudi Arabia also called for addressing the root causes of the conflict. "We affirm the need to build on this agreement to address the foundations of the conflict by enabling our Palestinian brothers and sisters to attain their rights," the statement concluded.

Iraq

Following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for immediate access to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and other affected Palestinian territories, emphasizing the need to address the basic needs of the Palestinian people.

The ministry also stressed the importance of ramping up international efforts to rebuild areas devastated by Israeli aggression, ensuring the restoration of normal life and the improvement of living conditions for the people.

Iran

In turn, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated that "this significant and genuine victory represents a multifaceted defeat for the Zionist entity, one that cannot be reversed," while also cautioning against any violations of the agreement by the Zionist entity.

In a statement, the Revolutionary Guards highlighted that "history has recorded a clear fact: the crimes of the entity have yielded no success, while the Resistance remains alive, strong, and steadfast in its pursuit of liberating al-Quds."

"The Zionist entity, supported by the United States and its European and regional allies, was compelled to yield to Gaza's resilience, resistance, and steadfast determination," added the statement.

"In this historic moment, we honor the martyrs Ismail Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Yahya Sinwar, and Saleh al-Arouri, and we congratulate the Palestinian people on this victory," it said, further emphasizing that Iran commends the Resistance fronts in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.

Latin American states

Furthermore, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expressed hope that humanity would come together to create pathways for peace, justice, and reconstruction for Palestine, the Arab people, and the world.

For its part, Colombia called on the international community to support the reconstruction phase and work toward a sovereign "two-state solution" as outlined in the 1993 Oslo Accords.

The country expressed its readiness to implement a special humanitarian aid program for affected Palestinian families in Gaza, reaffirming its commitment to solidarity and peace.

On the other hand, Brazilian President Lula da Silva expressed hope that the cessation of the war and the release of captives-prisoners would pave the way for a lasting solution, bringing peace and stability to the entire Middle East region.

The Brazilian government urged all parties involved to respect the terms of the agreement, ensuring a permanent cessation of hostilities, the release of all prisoners, and the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. It also emphasized the need to establish the conditions for the urgent initiation of the peace process and the rebuilding of civilian infrastructure.

It affirmed its commitment to the "two-state solution", with the establishment of an independent and viable Palestinian state.

Bolivia

Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, highlighting the importance of relieving the victims' suffering and ensuring the recognition of Palestine as an independent state.

Honduras

In turn, Honduran Foreign Minister Enrique Reina expressed his hopes for the full implementation of the agreement, which he believes will end the suffering of the Palestinian civilian population and ensure adherence to international law and humanitarian principles.
