IOF admits to killing of new soldier in southern Gaza confrontations
The Israeli occupation has confirmed the death of a new soldier from the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army - under the permitted to publish clause - acknowledged the killing of a new reserve sergeant in confrontations in Southern Gaza.
The Israeli army also reported a new injury within its ranks, as an officer was classified in critical condition, alongside the sergeant who was killed in the same battle.
This brings the number of occupation soldiers killed in the Gaza Strip, according to numbers released by the IOF, to 188 since the start of the occupation ground offensive, and 522 since the beginning of the al-Aqsa Flood Operation.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Resistance remains persistent in its attacks against the Israeli occupation forces across several fronts in Gaza, halting their incursion into the Strip, and resulting in significant losses in Israeli ranks.
The Israeli army confirmed, on Saturday evening, that an additional troop was killed and several others were injured during battles in Gaza amid the ongoing confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters in the central and southern parts of the Strip.
Israeli media announced that the Major (res.), who served within the 5037 battalion, was killed due to an anti-tank rocket hit during a battle in the central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army also confirmed three severe injuries among its soldiers during the ongoing battles in the southern and central areas of the Gaza Strip. According to IOF, an officer from the 7155 battalion suffered critical injuries while taking part in a battle in the southern part of Gaza. Concurrently, a soldier from the 646 reserve formation and an officer from the 605 engineering battalion sustained severe injuries in separate confrontations in the central Gaza Strip.
Underreporting numbers
It is worth noting that the numbers given by Hezbollah and the Palestinian Resistance of direct hits on Israeli soldiers surpass the "officially" declared count of Israeli soldiers killed in the operations, as "Israel" has a long-established policy of not declaring its actual losses.
The Resistance repeatedly challenges "Israel" to disclose the actual number of its casualties.
