Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army announced a "tactical suspension" of military actions in certain areas of the Gaza Strip. The move, described as "temporary and tactical", will last for 10 hours, starting at 10:00 am and ending at 8:00 pm (local time).
Our correspondent stated, "Trucks loaded with flour are heading from the Rafah crossing to the Karem Abu Salem crossing, hoping to enter the Gaza Strip."
In accordance with directives from the political echelon, and as part of the IDF’s ongoing effort, led by COGAT, to increase the scale of humanitarian aid entering Gaza, a local tactical pause in military activity will take place for humanitarian purposes from 10:00 to 20:00,… pic.twitter.com/y7gTmtfidj

According to the occupation army’s statement, the pause is part of what it described as measures to "improve the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip."
The temporary pause is allegedly aimed at enabling aid trucks, including those carrying flour, to reach affected areas. Movement is taking place between Rafah crossing and Kerem Shalom crossing, two critical access points for humanitarian supplies entering Gaza.
However, it is worth highlighting that this is not the first time the Israeli occupation has attempted to gather Palestinians under the pretext of "delivering aid", only to lure them into what many describe as a "death trap" to receive "aid drenched in blood."
Only last week, at least 59 Palestinians were killed and over 220 wounded on July 20 after Israeli tanks opened fire on a crowd waiting for humanitarian aid in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, according to Palestinian medics.
Witnesses said the attack occurred as thousands of desperate residents had gathered along a main eastern road in Khan Younis, hoping to receive food from trucks that use the route. Video footage circulating online showed multiple mangled bodies strewn across the road, with blood-soaked scenes of civilians lying lifeless.
Marked areas
The IOF's spokesperson explained that military actions would be paused in specific areas, namely al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and parts of Gaza City. These areas were marked in white on operational maps distributed by the Israeli military.
"Military activities will be suspended at the specified times in the areas marked in white," the spokesperson said.
Despite the declared suspension, the occupation army clarified that the pause applies only to the designated areas, and that broader military activity will continue.
"The fighting will not stop except in the areas that have been identified," the spokesperson added, stating that the army "will continue to work to cleanse and neutralize the areas in which it operates of infrastructure and personnel."
In a statement on Saturday evening, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced, "Tomorrow morning we will implement a humanitarian truce in the humanitarian centers and corridors in Gaza to facilitate the distribution of aid." This came after telephone consultations held by the Israeli Prime Minister that evening with the Minister of Security, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and senior Israeli officials.
Noam Amir, a commentator from Israeli Channel 14, said, "Israel is surrendering to the famine campaign in the Gaza Strip and responding to international pressure over the famine."
Martyrs killed in Israeli shelling of displaced people's tents in Khan Younis
The Israeli occupation army intensified its aggression against the Gaza Strip, launching widespread attacks by air, sea, and land in recent hours. The latest Gaza Strip escalation focused heavily on areas housing displaced civilians, resulting in new casualties and destruction.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that at dawn on Sunday, Israeli warplanes conducted a direct airstrike on a tent sheltering displaced persons in the Asdaa area of Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip. The strike killed six civilians and wounded others.
Artillery fire also targeted the western line area of Khan Younis, with displacement sites and surrounding zones coming under intensive shelling by the occupation forces.
In addition to the Khan Younis airstrike, Israeli naval forces shelled the Sudanese beach area northwest of Gaza City. At the same time, occupation warplanes carried out fresh raids on the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City.
These simultaneous assaults reflect a sharp escalation in military actions across various regions of the besieged Strip, including densely populated civilian zones.
The attacks come as international agencies and observers issue urgent warnings regarding the worsening Gaza humanitarian crisis, while conditions in southern Gaza, where tens of thousands have sought refuge, remain dire.
Displaced families are crammed into makeshift tents with little or no access to clean water, food, or medical care. The recent targeting of displacement areas has further deepened fears for civilian safety and raised renewed alarm over the lack of humanitarian corridors or effective relief.
