Israeli occupation forces demolished a house Thursday in Khallet Taha, southwest of Al-Khalil, after forcibly expelling its residents, and arrested two civilians, while injuring others, during the demolition process.

A 100-square-meter house, owned by Mohammad Nouh Al-Hroub, which houses 7 people, 3 of whom have special needs, was leveled.

The Palestinian Wafa agency reported that the occupation forces arrested two young men, whose identities are not yet known, and fired live bullets and poison gas canisters at civilians who were confronting the forces.

The occupation forces had surrounded the house and prevented the people from reaching it, fired sound bombs inside it, and beat the family, causing several injuries.

The owner of the house explained that his house was demolished three times before.

Last year, the occupation forces demolished his father's house, and in 2020, the Israeli forces demolished a family home under construction.

Khallet Taha is considered one of the areas threatened to be cleansed, and the occupation seeks to control 3,000 dunams of the citizens' lands for the benefit of illegal settlement building, especially the settlement of "Najhut".

The Israeli occupation forces pursued a policy of demolishing homes, whether through their inhuman tactics or by forcing their owners to demolish them themselves, in an attempt to subjugate and pressure the Palestinians.

Recently, #Palestinians are being forced to demolish their own homes with their own hands, the same houses they have been living in long before the Israeli occupation. #Palestine #SaveShiekhJarrah #SaveNaqab pic.twitter.com/vpDTGa8pBl
