Since Saturday dawn, Israeli occupation forces have launched a widespread arrest and raid campaign across the occupied West Bank and al-Quds, primarily focused on the city of Jenin. The IOF stormed and searched homes, vandalized their contents, and conducted on-the-spot interrogations of residents.
In al-Khalil, Israeli forces arrested Hussein Khmaiseh from the town of Taffuh after ransacking his home, in addition to detaining Yassin al-Haddad from the Sh'abah area.
The raids extended to the city of Tulkarm, where Israeli forces raided the town of 'Attil, north of the city, and arrested Maher Daqqa after raiding his home for over two hours, in addition to arresting Jawad al-Silawi from the same town.
IOF blackmail young men with their families
In Nablus, two young men, Hamza al-Sakhri and Mansour al-Batiha, turned themselves in to Israeli forces at the 'Awarta checkpoint after members of their families were arrested to pressure them into surrendering. Meanwhile, in the occupied town of Abu Dis in the eastern part of al-Quds, the forces also arrested recently released prisoner Muhammad Jamal 'Ariqat from his home.
In Jenin, Israeli forces infiltrated the eastern neighborhood with multiple military vehicles, raided residential buildings and several homes, and detained a man and his wife to pressure their son, Ahmad Istayti, to surrender himself, ultimately detaining both his parents and his brother. Eight Palestinian youths and one woman were detained in Jenin.
In Beit Lahm, Israeli forces detained one person from the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of the city, while the Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus, saw a widespread raid.
Concurrently with these arrests, Israeli forces continue to block the entrances to the towns of Deir Ballut and Rafat, west of Salfit, for the fifth consecutive day, and are preventing residents of Huwara, east of Yatta, south of al-Khalil, from accessing their land as settlers remain active in the area.
IOF continue to assault al-Mughayyir
In a related context, the Israeli aggression against the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, continues for the third consecutive day, with occupation forces still raiding dozens of homes and detaining residents and mistreating them.
The IOF raided the home of citizen Abdul Hadi Abu Alia, arrested his son Luay, conducted excavation work around the property, seized dozens of vehicles, and detonated stun grenades inside houses, all while continuing to block journalists from entering the village since the start of the incursions.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to uproot hundreds of olive trees in the plains surrounding the village of al-Mughayyir.
Illegal settlement expansion continues
Simultaneously, the Israeli Planning and Building Committee announced its approval for the construction of 126 new settlement units in the Sanur settlement, in the Jenin governorate.
The head of the Settlements Council in the northern West Bank stated that the goal of these projects is to increase the number of settlers to one million in the coming period.
