IOF former commander: north left abandoned, situation intolerable
The former Northern Corps commander in the Israeli occupation forces, Noam Tivon, confirms there are no horizons for settlers on the Lebanese front.
The former commander of the Northern Corps in the Israeli Occupation Forces, Noam Tivon, confirmed on Wednesday that the current situation on the northern Israeli front, which is witnessing confrontations with the Lebanese Islamic Resistance, was intolerable.
"Settlements in the north are deserted, they (Hezbollah) are destroying life there," Tivon told Israeli media.
In turn, a reporter for Israeli Channel 12 in the North reported that the Israeli occupation forces were preparing for a day of increased tension following an Israeli raid that killed three Lebanese civilians.
The correspondent also noted that the Israeli authorities had further blocked new roads across northern settlements, and settlers see no horizon there.
In a similar context, Israeli media said that after rockets were fired at western Galilee, border crossings were closed in the settlements of "Shlomi, Rosh Hankra, and Akhzef."
Hundreds of Israeli settlers protest the situation in the north
Hundreds of settlers living in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian North demonstrated in protest against the situation along the border with Lebanon, noting that "the government has lost the north," according to Israeli news website Haaretz.
Israeli media reported settlers pointing fingers at the Israeli government and its leadership saying, "He who abandoned the South will not save the North."
Israeli settlers find themselves devoid of the much-promised Israeli occupation's security, reported Haaretz, as they confess, "We are all refugees" and, "This is where the line of lawlessness passes."
In turn, Israeli Channel 12's correspondent reported that the roads in the North remain closed, at all times, for fear of Hezbollah's rockets. The correspondent underscored that the North is collapsing and that the daily routine of Israeli settlers there has become more complicated, stressing that the authorities there are very angry about the situation.
