IOF officer wounded as unit withdraws from Tulkarm
The IOF surrounds a house owned by Palestinian Salama Badran, under the excuse that it was harboring those responsible for an operation that killed two settlers last November.
Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Saturday during the IOF's invasion in Tulkarm, an officer in the "Al-Yamam" unit was injured and hospitalized as they withdrew from the town of Deir al-Ghosun in the occupied West Bank.
Our correspondent said that the withdrawing force after 12 hours included an Israeli military vehicle that was transporting several individuals, including martyrs and likely wounded Palestinians, from the vicinity of the besieged building.
Salma Badran owned the house that the occupation had besieged and Israeli occupation forces raided the building under the pretext that it housed several wanted Palestinian Resistance fighters.
Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned 4 of its fighters, after they rose to martyrdom during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces, for more than 15 hours, in Deir Al-Ghusoun in Tulkarm, in the northern West Bank.
The martyrs were: Tamer Raafat Abdel Rahman Faqha (32 years old), Alaa Adeeb Abdel Jaber Shreiteh (45 years old), Asal Bashir Tawfiq Badran (42 years old), Adnan Tayseer Kamel Samara (40 years old).
Resistance fighters reportedly confronted the force on Friday night and continued to defend their positions in the area up until Saturday noon. Due to the extended confrontations, the Israeli occupation ordered multiple reinforcements to the battle scene, after failing to complete their mission on Friday night.
The Israeli occupation first claimed that the building housed two Palestinian Resistance fighters who executed an operation in November 2023, which killed Israeli settlers, Al Mayadeen's correspondent explained.
