Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, recently discussed the latest regional developments, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon, necessitating urgent intervention by Islamic nations to end "Israel's" genocide in Gaza and its violations in South Lebanon.
In a phone call, both ministers addressed the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli siege and the Israeli plot to occupy the Strip, stressing the need to guarantee the immediate entrance of much-needed international humanitarian aid.
On the Lebanese front, the top officials emphasized the importance of safeguarding trust and cooperation between all political factions to avoid any action that could prompt civil unrest. Araghchi and Abdelatty also reiterated the importance of the Israeli withdrawal from the five occupied sites in South Lebanon, as well as the halt of all violations and aggression against the country.
Just today, a Lebanese civilian was killed by an Israeli strike that targeted his vehicle in South Lebanon.
Yesterday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that five people were martyred and ten others wounded in an initial toll following an Israeli airstrike on the Masnaa highway in eastern Lebanon.
The ministry also confirmed that a Lebanese civilian was killed in a separate Israeli airstrike on the town of Kafardan, located in the Baalbek district.

Meanwhile, the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 60,000 martyrs, with more than double the number injured, as the Israeli genocide continues unabated. Paired with the suffocating Israeli blockade, Gaza's residents endure a disastrous humanitarian crisis while grappling with severe hunger and malnutrition amid the collapse of the healthcare system.
