Iran condemns Israeli aggression on Lebanon, Gaza
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stresses that the attacks constitute a continuation of the Israeli atrocities against Palestinian worshippers stationed at Al-Aqsa mosque.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani strongly denounced Israeli aggression on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
Kanaani stressed that the attacks constitute a continuation of Al-Aqsa Mosque's desecration and the Israeli atrocities against Palestinian worshippers stationed at Al-Aqsa mosque.
He further added that these strikes are seen as a violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and human rights toward the oppressed Palestinian nation. He urged the international community and relevant international organizations to respond in a way that is both effective and deterrent.
Iran's statement came hours after the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which targeted the Qlaileh Plain located between Ras al-Ayn Plain and the Palestinian Refugee Camp of Rashidiya.
At the time, Al Mayadeen correspondent confirmed that three Israeli missiles landed south of the city of Tyre, two of them in agricultural areas and another in the Qlaileh Plain, noting that the Israeli aggression did not result in significant casualties.
Earlier, the occupation warplanes launch a series of raids on various sites in the Gaza Strip, targeting several sites for the Palestinian Resistance across the Strip.
The Israeli aggression further pushes the region closer toward a wider confrontation following three days of provocative raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds, assaulting Palestinians who are stationed there as part of the religious practice of Itikaf, which is one of the acts of worship during the holy month of Ramadan.
