Iran rejects claims of a Mossad raid on the Fordow nuclear facility, calling Israeli footage fabricated and part of a disinformation campaign targeting Tehran.

Iranian sources on Friday firmly denied Israeli claims that a Mossad commando unit carried out a covert raid targeting Iran's Fordow nuclear facility, dismissing the narrative as part of the Israeli regime's ongoing disinformation campaign against the Islamic Republic.
Speaking to Fars News Agency, the sources described the reports as “fabricated psychological warfare” aimed at fueling confusion and manipulating public opinion. They stressed that no such operation took place, contrary to what Israeli outlets and security sources had claimed.
Images of alleged raid 'irrelevant, staged'
In response to images released by Israeli media on Thursday, purporting to show a military airdrop operation near the Fordow site, the Iranian sources said the visuals had no bearing on reality. According to the report, “the area surrounding the Fordow nuclear facility is uninhabited for dozens of kilometers,” making the footage inconsistent with the site's actual geography.
The Israeli occupation’s intelligence agency, Mossad, had circulated a video claiming to show damage to the Fordow facility caused by a US military strike. However, Iranian officials rejected this claim as well, reiterating that the footage and accompanying statements were designed to exaggerate recent developments and undermine Iran’s nuclear program.
This is not the first time the Israeli occupation has disseminated unverified or doctored content related to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Tehran has repeatedly warned that such narratives are part of an orchestrated campaign to justify aggression and pressure through media manipulation.
'Israel' failed to achieve objectives
Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told Al Mayadeen that the Israeli occupation had failed to meet any of the strategic objectives it declared at the start of its aggression against the Islamic Republic.
In a written statement provided exclusively to Al Mayadeen, Mohajerani outlined Tehran’s view of the war, the country’s deterrence capabilities, and the future of Iran’s nuclear program in the face of international pressure.
She stated that "Israel's" initial war goals ultimately turned into "military, security, and diplomatic failures," adding that "Iran’s national resolve to preserve independence, sovereignty, and internal security has only grown stronger."
"The Zionist regime made a strategic miscalculation," Mohajerani said, stressing that it “paid the price for its error.” She dismissed Israeli claims of having destroyed Iranian defense capabilities, labeling such statements as "messages for domestic consumption aimed at calming the Zionist public."
Iran warns of future threats, calls for regional diplomacy
Addressing the broader regional context, Mohajerani called out the double standards of Western states, which she said have remained silent in the face of Israeli aggression. “This silence, or in some cases, implicit support, makes those states complicit in war crimes,” she warned.
She urged countries that claim to support peace and international law to adopt independent and responsible positions, further reiterating that Iran remains fully prepared for any scenario and any potential threat. Iran, she added, did not start the war but will not hesitate to respond to any future acts of aggression.
“Our red line is national security, and any threat to it will be met with a firm and decisive response,” she said, simultaneously asserting that Iran’s message to the region remains one of peace, cooperation, and collective resistance to occupation and unilateralism.
“The recent war has proven that militarism and reckless policies do not bring security. They only deepen instability,” she said, concluding that Iran stands with the peoples of the region in the pursuit of a just, dignified, and sustainable peace.
