The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) reveals that Iran has the privilege of enough defense arms so that it is ready to respond to threats at any level.

On the occasion of Defense Industry Week, which began on August 22, 2022, in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi, Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics has been conducting an exhibition showcasing the country's defense achievements in Tehran for several days.

The commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) addressed during a ceremony at this expo Iran's recent achievements in the fields of drones, missiles, and defensive systems.

Major General Hossein Salami described the development gained in the field of defense as "magnificent, authoritative, and deterrent," adding that it is in line with Iran's technological success at the global level and the disempowerment of the enemy's advances in the field of defense.

Salami stated that Iran has a wide range of diverse defense products and that the country is prepared to respond to threats at any level.

Last month, the Iran Air Defense Force fired a warning shot at a US drone flying in the vicinity of the Straight of Hormuz.

The Iranian Security Forces released footage depicting Iran Air Defense members firing a warning shot at the US military MQ9 aircraft flying over the Hormuz Strait.

Iran downed an American RQ-4 Global Hawk drone in June 2019, after it violated Iranian airspace and did not respond to warnings issued by the Air Defense Force.

On another occasion last month, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard, the commander of the Iran Air Defense Force, strongly warned against any violations of Iran's airspace, saying the slightest violation would be met with a "crushing response" by the Iran Air Defense Force.

He said the Iran Air Defense Force is detecting the slightest enemy movement around the clock, stressing that the slightest violation of Iran's airspace will be met with a ‘crushing response’ by the ADF.

The Commander of the Air Defense Force stressed that the armed forces, especially the army's air defense, always vigorously guard and defend the country's airspace, borders, and maritime boundary. He indicated that the missile systems stationed in Jask are indigenous and have unique capabilities in depriving the aggressors of accomplishing their goals.
