The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence published a statement, in which it detailed its achievements and operations throughout the 12-day war waged on Iran by "Israel" with the backing of the United States, which ultimately failed to subjugate Tehran and force it to give up its nuclear program.
In its statement, the Ministry of Intelligence said it "waged a fierce battle against the Israeli entity and the Western intelligence-security alliance of NATO before, during, and after the recent 12-day war."
"The events of the 12-day war were part of a coordinated military operation in which the enemy employed a combination of military, security, intelligence, psychological warfare, assassination, and sabotage tactics to incite internal chaos, overthrow the Islamic Republic, and destabilize Iran," it added.
According to the Ministry, during the war, the US and "Israel" directed Takfiri and terrorist groups to carry out special operations aimed at undermining national security, executing large-scale terrorist attacks, and dividing the country, which were thwarted.
36 assassination attempts foiled
The Ministry of Intelligence detailed that during the war, it conducted offensive espionage operations inside "Israel", recruiting agents from within the Israeli security establishment and obtaining documented intelligence in the process.
Moreover, it said it infiltrated the Israeli "Nuclear Information Vault" before the war, providing Iran with essential intel of the precise locations of numerous sensitive targets inside "Israel".
In addition, Tehran utilized secret diplomatic channels to exchange information and intelligence with allied actors in the region, as well as issue regional warnings.
In terms of counter-espionage, Iran managed to arrest 20 operatives and agents recruited by the Israeli Intelligence Agency Mossad across multiple Iranian provinces, while exposing Mossad agents involved in the economic and financial sectors set to perform sabotage missions.
Moreover, it neutralized Israeli operational sites, thwarting their missions, foiling 23 assassination attempts against high-level figures and officials, in addition to 13 attempts prior to the war, as well as averting sabotage plots targeting the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and military facilities.
Terrorist activity thwarted
When it comes to anti-terrorism, the statement said that Iran arrested three ISIS commanders and 50 Takfiri militants inside the country, seizing their weapons and explosive vests, while on the southeastern border, Tehran detected and blocked 300 foreign terrorists. Moreover, it prevented 150 Takfiri militants from Syria from entering Iran.
Iran also monitored and deterred armed group movements in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, while dismantling Mujahedin-e Khalq cells active in multiple provinces during the 12-day war.
Additionally, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry stated that it neutralized several terrorist cells planning on attacking Kurdish-populated regions, arrested extremist separatists who were promoting ethnic division and threatening national unity, and captured key operatives belonging to a separatist group that was planning attacks in the Sistan and Baluchistan province.
The Ministry disrupted weapon smuggling routes along the Kurdistan border while seizing large arms shipments and conducted targeted raids across Sistan and Baluchestan, as well as Kerman, where they uncovered major weapons depots used by hostile elements.
Iran thwarted plans for regime change
One of the Iranian Intelligence Ministry's most significant achievements is thwarting an Israeli-US plan to install a puppet government in Iran led by the exiled Reza Pahlavi.
In addition, Tehran thwarted an Israeli-backed scheme to instigate riots inside Evin prison, arresting 122 operatives in 23 different provinces, while dismantling riot cells paid via cryptocurrency, arresting 65 individuals in the process.
The statement added that Iran arrested 53 members of a Christian group posing as missionaries and discovered and confiscated weapons, in addition to safehouses.
Iran also managed to thwart a scheme targeting Iranian celebrities, which sought to recruit them via conferences in either the United States or Turkiye.
The Iranian Ministry also exposed covert Mossad communications with Iranian citizens, arresting administrators of spy-linked media channels, while detecting and mitigating cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure.
