Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qassem met with the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, where the latter affirmed Iran's full support for Lebanon and its resistance, following the directives of Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stating that Iran is prepared to offer support on all levels.
According to a statement from Hezbollah's Media Relations office, Sheikh Qassem expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership, government, and people, for their condolences and solidarity for the martyrdom of the two Sayyids and fellow martyrs, and for all the support they have provided to Lebanon and its Resistance.
Hezbollah's Secretary-General also told the delegation that Lebanon stands firm against US-Israeli challenges and threats, adding that "its resistant people hold a great sense of pride and support for liberation and independence." Sheikh Qassem noted that "Those who see the stance of the brave, patient people will believe that victory is on their side in the face of the Israeli enemy".
He also emphasized that Hezbollah is open to talks with everyone and ready for all forms of cooperation with those who stand against the Israeli enemy, which he described as a danger to everyone without exception; a threat to peoples, governments, and resistance movements alike.
He added his conviction that this aggressive Israeli force will meet a disgraceful end in the face of such remarkable steadfastness.
Hezbollah is strong, self-sufficient: Larijani
This comes as part of Larijani's visit to Lebanon to mark the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his successor Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
In a speech from Ain el-Tineh during his visit, Larijani affirmed that "Hezbollah is a fortress for the Lebanese people, and we welcome any political development that supports them," adding that "the Resistance represents a great asset for the Islamic nation, especially Hezbollah, which forms an impregnable barrier against Israel."
He also highlighted the pivotal role of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stating that he had identified the threat posed by "Israel" decades earlier and had consequently developed comprehensive confrontation plans, demonstrating that the Resistance has proven to be the only rational path against arrogance.
When asked whether Iran provides weapons to Hezbollah, he asserted that "Hezbollah does not need weapons from anyone," further explaining that "it is strong enough that it does not need to acquire weapons from elsewhere."
