Iran sanctions US companies, individuals, complicit in Gaza genocide
Iran has imposed sanctions on US entities for their role in enabling, facilitating, or justifying the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Iran has imposed sanctions against US institutions and individuals for their complicity in the Israeli genocide and human rights violations in the Gaza Strip.
Five corporations were sanctioned for facilitating the genocide in Gaza by arming "Israel" and supplying it with the necessary material to sustain its brutal onslaught against Palestinians:
- Arms company, Lockheed Martin Corporation. The enterprise has been under fire recently, amid calls for universities such as McGill in Canada and Binghamton in the US to divest from companies that support, fund, and arm the Israeli occupation, through students' tuitions.
- Arms company, General Dynamics Corporation. Just today, General Dynamics and another arms company were awarded a $3 billion contract to compete for each order of medium-caliber training cartridges, as well as arm the US military, which in turn funds the Israeli military.
- Drone manufacturer Skydio.
- Chevron Corporation, which has been enabling fuel deliveries to "Israel", and previously collaborated with the occupation through an oil terminal in the Tamar oil field.
- Data analytics and IT pioneer Kharon, for sanctioning Hamas and cutting its crypto transfers under claims of money laundering.
The following individuals were sanctioned by Iran for the role they played in the Israeli genocide in Gaza:
- Jason Greenblatt, former executive vice president and chief legal officer to Donald Trump, as well as his advisor on "Israel".
- Michael Rubin, an American businessman and fellow at the center-right think tank American Enterprise Institute.
- Jason Brodsky, the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI).
- Clifford D. May, the founder and president of the Federation for Defense of Democracies think tank, and a fervent defender of "Israel".
- Bryan P. Fenton, United States Army general serving as the 13th commander of the United States Special Operations Command.
- Brad Cooper, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, and Deputy Commander at the US CENTCOM.
- Gregory J. Hayes, CEO of RTX Corporation, a missile, bomb, and jet auto parts manufacturer used by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians.
Iran's FM slams EU inaction, urges bloc to sanction 'Israel'
On April 23, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian urged the European Union to take responsible action and impose sanctions on "Israel" over its war crimes against the Palestinian people.
Amir-Abdollahian criticized the EU for imposing additional illegal sanctions on Iran over its retaliatory attack on Israeli targets and advised the bloc against following Washington's lead.
"It is regrettable to see the EU deciding quickly to apply more unlawful restrictions against Iran just because Iran exercised its right to self-defense in the face of Israel’s reckless aggression," the top Iranian diplomat wrote on X.
"The EU should not follow Washington’s advice to satisfy the criminal Israeli regime," he added.
The Iranian Foreign Minister expressed disappointment over the EU's inaction to the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, citing war crimes, missile attacks, and famine.
This comes one day after EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell declared the unanimous agreement by the bloc's foreign ministers to expand sanctions on Iranian manufacturers and exporters of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles – alleging their potential transfer to Russia, the Middle East, and the Red Sea.
