Iranian state television broadcast new footage on Saturday showing the downing of Israeli drones during the recent 12-day confrontation with the Israeli occupation, as Tehran continues to highlight its defensive achievements in the conflict.
According to the report, the footage documents several interceptions carried out by Iran’s air defense units targeting unmanned aircraft that violated the country’s airspace.

Brigadier General Reza Khajeh, Deputy Commander for Air Defense Operations in Iran’s Army, confirmed that more than 196 hostile aircraft and drones were destroyed during the war, emphasizing that Iran confronted the enemy using fully domestic military systems.
Khajeh told Iranian television that the air defense forces succeeded in downing two advanced Israeli drones, the Heron and Hermes-900, during the confrontation.
'Crushing response'
He further stressed that the Islamic Republic will deliver a “crushing response” to any threat from the enemy, and noted that Iranian skies have remained secure since the end of the 12-day battle.
“We will soon acquire the capability to intercept and destroy the most advanced fighter jets,” he added, praising the readiness and devotion of Iranian air defense personnel throughout the conflict.
The war has been described by Tehran as a demonstration of Iran’s deterrence capabilities amid growing regional tensions and ongoing Israeli threats.
Key Israeli sites destroyed, nuclear docs moved to Tehran
Iran's missile capabilities inflicted significant damage on "vital centers and key assets of the Israeli entity" during the recent 12-day war, Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib stated last Saturday, asserting that "the impact of the strikes has been acknowledged by the occupation itself."
Khatib stressed that "the Israeli entity is suffering from security breaches and espionage activities benefiting Iran," adding that Israeli documents related to its atomic energy program, along with other highly sensitive files, had been entirely transferred to Iran. He described this as a reflection of the competence of Iran's security, military, and intelligence apparatuses.
The intelligence minister also emphasized that a decline in "Israel's" international standing and popularity is one of the most significant outcomes of the recent war.
Regarding the US policy, he argued that Washington has shifted its approach from overthrowing the Iranian government to attempting to contain it through increasing pressure. He suggested that the US is now focusing on Iran's domestic situation after externally supported figures and networks failed to influence the Iranian public.
