Iran urges emergency UNSC session over Israeli aggression on Lebanon
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed condolences for Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's loss, emphasizing Hezbollah's resilience and Iran's commitment to the Resistance.
In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi extended his condolences and sympathy to the Lebanese people and Hezbollah. He stated, "The loss of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is indeed significant, but Hezbollah is home to many great leaders."
Araghchi further emphasized the resilience of the Resistance, saying, "The martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah is a profound loss, but it does not signify the end of the Resistance; rather, it heralds the beginning of a new chapter marked by greater strength."
These comments come amid escalating tensions between the Axis of Resistance and the US and "Israel", highlighting Iran's support for Hezbollah and its commitment to the Resistance movement.

In turn, Iran's Envoy to the UN Security Council called for an emergency meeting on Saturday "to address the Israeli terrorist aggression and the ongoing atrocities committed by the Israeli warmongering regime in Lebanon and throughout the region."
This request comes in light of the grave consequences of the Israeli occupation's actions on regional and international peace, stability, and security.
In his letter, Iran's UN envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani, urged the Council to take "immediate and decisive action to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression and prevent the region from being dragged into an all-out war."
