During the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian and Al Zaabi emphasized the importance of boosting relations between Iran and the UAE.

Earlier, Al Zaabi highlighted the UAE's keenness to discuss ways of "boosting bilateral relations and areas of cooperation for the benefit of both countries."

The UAE Ambassador to Iran stressed that the two countries agreed to open a new chapter in bilateral relations, adding that ties between Iran and the UAE are improving and expanding in the existing fields.
