It is worth noting that the Arab leaders at Jeddah Summit have welcomed "the positive role played by Iraq to facilitate communication and build confidence among the countries of the region," expressing their support for Lebanon's sovereignty, security, and stability, and all the reforms necessary to achieve its economic recovery.

On his part, Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan held a press conference after the Jeddah Summit during which he said the Kingdom’s hand is extended to Iran, stating that the Iran-Saudi talks, which were hosted by Iraq have been positive, but have yet to achieve tangible results.

Last month, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of a regional visit that also included a visit to Iran as part of Baghdad's efforts to bridge Tehran and Riyadh's viewpoints.
