Iranian Navy to be equipped with updated homegrown Deylaman
The chief of the Iranian Navy has announced that the northern fleet will soon receive an updated version of the Jamaran frigate.
The Iranian Navy's northern fleet will soon receive a locally produced Deylaman vessel, the commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani announced on Friday.
Deylaman will be deployed in the Caspian Sea where it will ensure the safety of shipping and enhance the skills of navy members, according to Rear Admiral Irani.
The Navy's chief said Deylaman is an updated version of the Jamaran vessel, the lead ship of the Iranian Mowj-class frigate, as it has been equipped with new equipment.
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy plans to hold two joint naval exercises with foreign military forces in the northern tip of the Indian Ocean within the next few months.
Iran's consistent technological advances
The Iranian military revealed a number of weapons in November, including the Fattah hypersonic missile, which was inspected by the leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei during a visit to an IRGC Aerospace Force exhibition. Fattah 2 is a hypersonic cruise missile classified as part of the HGV (Hypersonic Glide Vehicle).

The event also highlighted a number of updated Iranian air defense systems, including the Mehran air defense system, which boasts an operational range of 320 km.
In a similar context, on November 13, the commander of Iran's northeast air defense zone, Brigadier General Mohammadreza Masoumi, stated that Iran has updated its air defense systems in response to new threats.
Masoumi emphasized that Iran's air defense capabilities can now detect and address any potential threats effectively.
The Iranian Brigadier General highlighted that as aerospace threats evolve, Iran is ensuring that its defensive systems are advancing at a similar pace.
Additionally, he reiterated that Iran's military advancements are solely for deterrence purposes and do not pose a threat to neighboring countries.
